It is so difficult to watch someone you love die slowly. My uncle has terminal prostate cancer - that is how it started and developed from there to invade the bladder, urinary tract, urethra. The doctors could not operate on him as he would more than likely die on the operating table.

He chose to fight. I fear that his fight won't be for much longer. The rate of decaying tissue and blood that he is passing is absolutely shocking. I visit every second day and try bring a little bit of comfort or distraction.

I wanted to tell you to please check yourselves regularly for any bumps/lumps/pain that should be there - go get it checked out and and if necessary checked again - listen to your body. If something doesn't feel right then it probably isn't.

Also - let those that you care and love for know that you care and love them - all the time. Don't wait for special occassions or disaster to show your feelings.

Very true. I can relate to what you're going through, Libelle. I currently have a very dear friend slowly die from cancer - it's terminal and it's simply a matter of time. It tears me up to think I'm going to lose him. I've also had several family members die of cancer.

You're doing the right thing, Libelle, a very loving a kind thing.

Agreed. Even though I'm disfellowshipped, I shoot an email to my mom and sister to say "I love you." They can do with it what they will. I pray that you and your uncle can make the most of the remaining time and for you to both experience a spirit of peace.

    Blessings to you both.

I am so sorry to hear about your uncle... What an agonizing situation.

It is very good of you to visit him often - that is a great kindness, as so many people tend to shy away from people who are terminally ill. Please take especially good care of yourself at this time, too - you must be under a LOT of stress.

    Hugs... ((((((((((LouBElle))))))))))
