Why Won't They Carbon Date This?
I'm late to the thread, but carbon dating won't work back that far. The signature gets too weak because of the radioactive decay of the isotope.

buhu-- why wont scientists use C14 dating wrong? buu-huuu
well sport, it may be because creotards are the only ones who believe C14 dating can be applied without discretion to any piece of random gunk, and the result then say much beyond why morons should be kept away from expensive equipment they do not understand. Fortuately the later seem to be easily accomplished by writing "library" on the door to the laboratory.
Scientists in general tend to ask questions like: "can this particular method be applied in this case?", "What is the risk of centamination?" and so on.
I still do not believe the above questions are entirely outside the scope of your intellect, but that bible sure aint helping...
LOL. Bohm FTW!

OK. Maybe Perry can come back to this thread and answer some questions:
Speed of light, Perry. Speed of light!
If you can see the Andromeda galaxy on a dark clear summer night, how can you possibly think the Universe is only 6k years old or so?

Carbon 14 doesn't apply here!
Please 'splain Perry on that thread. What, we can't trust our lying eyes because your literal interpretation of Scripture tells you so!?
This is the easiest most foolproof refutation of your tiny boxed god I have ever come across.

botchtower,
the info in this thread presents hundreds of problems for the darwinian worldview. Why not tackle some of those?
Time is simply another dimension relative to your point of view. Manipulating time during the creation event would be child's play for God. This was not a problem for Einstein, who explained the relative nature of time as well as believed in an all-powerful Creator.

Well, if God likes to manipulate stuff just to make it look old and fool us rubes, how can you trust anything in his book?
"He made it look old" is the biggest cop out on the planet, and if he did just that, what is the point of your arguing Carbon 14 dating and natural mummification??? He just made fake dinosaur fossils and put them in rocks to fool all those paleontologists!

Einstein believed in a supremely rational deity, not some tricky dude playing tricks on scientists.
"I believe in Spinoza's God, Who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world"
"God is subtle but he is not malicious."
