I have heard so much of this book, could anyone tell me where I can get a copy as I have never read it, or had the chance to read it. In fact, where is the best place to get old JW books, and their latest CD???

Any info would be most welcome,
    Thankyou,
    Ana

Randy's site at http://www.freeminds.org has to be the best for buying old books and reprints/CD's etc.

However, if you go to http://communities.msn.co.uk/altJehovahsWitnesses/studylinks.msnw you'll find links that will enable you to read all of the following online for free. Not bad!

Studies in the Scriptures (volumes 1 - 6)
    The Finished Mystery (volume 7)
Pay Attention to Yourselves and to all the Flock (Elders Manual)
    Pastor Russell's Sermons
Tabernacle Shadows of the Better Sacrifices
The entire set of Zion's Watch Tower from 1896 to the 1916!
The Photo Drama of Creation (The full text and all 600 hand-painted slides of this historical production.)

    You Know,

What proof did those who were intoxicated, "and not with wine" have that they were speaking from Jehovah?
Their words came true!!!!! Sorry guy, your boys must have been full of the real stuff.
If you must defend a person, make sure that he is telling the "truth."

    You Know intoned:

: Yes, he was drunk, but not with liquid booze. Isaiah describes the sort of inebriation that Jehovah's servants are particularly susceptible to were he says: "They have become intoxicated, but not with wine; they have moved unsteadily, but not because of intoxicationg liquor."

Ah, yes. Drunk with one's own sense of self-importance, just like you, Bobby. Drunk on the idea that you're going to heaven. Drunk on the notion that you alone, out of all mankind, get a special portion of "holy spirit" that allows you to know "the deep things of God". You speak out of both sides of your mouth at the same time, claiming out of one side to be inspired and imploring out of the other side to escuse you for your "sincere mistakes". What a laughing stock you are! What a laughing stock your fellow self-appointed oh-so-faithful "slaves" are! You never get anything right and you never will, partly because you don't actually get any information from God, and partly because the very same mental defect that allows you to think far too much of yourselves prevents you from seeing your own foolishness. You're all going to die one day, Bobby, and when you do, you'll all know on that day how foolish you've been.

The Finished Mystery is one of the most ludicrous books ever written in the name of God. To ascribe any part of it to a God capable of creating our physical universe is the height of hubris.

    AlanF,

If you can handle one bottle of a 20oz beer then you are fit to be a man. But not a better man than Rutherford.

So now we have to be able to drink a lot of alcool in order to be considered a man? What's that, new light?

Although it would explain a lot... since Fred is more mature than the rest of us, it must mean that he consumes more alcool. Theoretically speaking, of course.

hehe, thanks for the link nic. i was refreshing myself on all the symbols in revelation that are interpreted bizarrely in this book. heres a short list:

congregation of Pergamum = the papacy
congregation of Thyatira = the papacy
rider of white horse = pope
rider of red horse = pope
rider of black horse = pope
rider of pale horse = pope
    army of locusts = Methodists
    Abaddon = 'a bad one' (???) = Satan
four bound angels = four false church doctrines
    army of horsemen = Protestants
beast from the abyss = French Catholic Church
    the dragon = Catholic Church
the heavenly child = the papacy
    Michael = pope (!?!)
the angels of the dragon = Catholic bishops
beast from the sea = the papacy
beast from the earth = the Anglican Church
image of the beast = Federal Council of Churches
666 = pope (VICARIUS FILII DEI)
seven plagues = seven volumes of Studies in the Scriptures
Babylon the Great = the papacy
scarlet beast = Rome you might wonder how there can possibly be so many symbols of the catholics all in one book! some of the symbols are even opposing characters, you have to read the book to see how that works. of course, as bizarre as it all looks, its not too different from the modern revelation book. instead of catholic symbols everywhere, all the symbols in revelation represent the witnesses preaching or conventions.
