    Finally,

I know what you are saying about thin b-milk. We have found a brand called DariGold Cultured Bulgarian Buttermilk. Absolute delicious perfection. Next best is Knudsen B-milk.

My wife baked an apple/cherry cobbler this sfternoon. I will have a dish of that with a glass of cold B-milk while we watch "Breaking Bad" tonight.

I've never tasted buttermilk as it's hard to get hold of over here.

Lately I've been drinking chilled coconut water. It's really refreshing and is high in potassium and electrolytes.

For summer alcoholic drinks I'd go for an ice-cold bottle of Peroni Nastro Azzurro, or a glass of chilled rosé (preferably a nice pinot grigio blush), or a gin and slimline tonic with ice and a slice of lime.

If you've ever had a Southern Blue (SoCo and Blueberry Schnapps), mix it with lemon lime soda and serve in crushed ice. Tastes like a blueberry freeze pop.

I would have to agree with the mojito, with or without the rum.

There is also pureed watermelon which can be made into any number of uber refreshing concoctions.

Buttermilk.....not my thang. I did invent a smoothie once with buttermilk, ice and orange juice concentrate. Tastes like a liquid Creamsicle. I love Creamsicles but just can't get into drinking one...but the flavor is good.

My wife only uses buttermilk to make Ranch dressing or pancake batter. She wouldn't drink it plain for love or money. When I have some I put down 2 little dishes of it for our little black chihuahuas. I love to watch them lick their buttermilk moustaches clean.

Since the ( actual not heat index) heat is reaching 109 and above , I am drinking a lot more water. Diet coke just does not quench my thirst. I like to add either lemon juice or orange juice to my water b/c I am not a natural water drinker.

I've begun to hydrate myself with 4 bottles of water (16.9 oz.) and then treat myself to beer, juice, or milk.

Hydrate and then beer and as much fruit as I want is the perfect Arizona summer thing for me, as I tend to retain water if I don't drink enough of it.

My frige is bursting at the seams!

I usually have hot tea, as I find it's best in the heat. Today, I mixed up a refresher of gin & Rose's lime cordial, topped up with water ... tart!

    Not me, the drink!!!!

Give me a Gatorade any day. There's been times where I've helped some older friends on some of their outside work, and I might have had a Heineken or something which is the worst thing to drink when outside working. Yeah it tastes good, but it dehydrates the heck out of you. On the other hand, a glass of water, or a Gatorade, good stuff. I see most people at work drinking coffee, or Starbucks in the morning, me personally I prefer a Fruit Juice flavored Gatorade, or orange flavored Gatorade. Nothing like it to get the day started.
