I think I would demand a letter or go on like nothing happened now. I would also make them put the consequences of talking to someone that is disfellowshipped in writing or I woul dtalk to the disfellowshipped one..(I would anyway)..
They have gotten away with the Me boss you slave long enough!!!
How can they believe they have the right to tell someone what to do like that?
Doesn't it just grab your balls now that you know better?..
Don't you feel violated?

Wouldn't you think that the most holy, forgiving, and christ like religion in the whole world ..... would give you a letter of referrance for your many many years of work in the field, and labouring by the sweat of your furrowed brow, within bethel and without ......... wouldn't you??
Wouldn't you think that a 'religion' that is so blessed ..... the MOUTHPIECE of GOD, should be more gracious than any other organization? They get to live forever, after all. If they can't be generous and loving ....who can???
Could they not at least send a nice card, wishing you well!!???
Wow, anyone observing this stuff just might think ... hmmm I think these people are in a cult!!!
They would be right!

No guns blazing nor grand speeches. I just dropped out. Why bother?
They know my address. I know they won't bother me during meeting nights. And when it isn't a meeting night, I'm not home. LOL After a while I think they got tired and moved on to other people more worthy of their chase.
I show up for the Memorial a maybe a special meeting or two, however. And all is as if I never left with hugs and conversations galore! I'm even fought for on who will take me out for dinner afterwards. I'm actually quite friendly and cordial. While I have my opinions about the WTS I know to change the subject when things get tacky.
I'm not angry. I'm just better off.

Couldn't you demand a letter saying you won't accept it as valid (your dismissal) until you get something in writing.Continue going to the hall and saying hi to everyone. Go door to door and talk bad about the JW religion instead of trying to get them to join the religion....what are they going to do , arrest you? After all we do have freedom of speech..that's what they always say..
"Good Morning friend, I have good news for you. The WTBTS will be falling shortly as no one will believe their BS for much longer as word is getting out of all their works against God.. Here let me share a scripture or two with you that proves how very wrong the religion is..." (and so on)
Will that work?..

Snoozy, they do not care what YOU think about it -- valid or invalid.
They made the decision (which really just confirmed the decision that the Holy Spirit had already made in heaven).
They announced to all that YOU ARE OUT!
So, YOU ARE OUT! Say "HI" all you want. Ain't nobody gonna talk to you!
Go knocking on doors all you want. It's not going to make any more of a difference than it did when you were knocking on doors FOR Jehovah's Witnesses.

It is frequently about getting even. In the "case" I mentioned they wanted a response from this man. He had been an elder and good friends with them all and then just disappeared without any explanation. They made repeated calls to him and then one day they managed to piece together something they could use to DA him. So the letter was an attempt to get a response from him, which I don't believe they ever got b/c he did not care.
