Wow! That was a painful 48 minutes of Youtube time. I forgot how absolutely out of touch the Borg is. And the expressions they use...Beloved Rachel, Little Benjamin, Nerd, Sex, Rape and the best one.....Let’s go talk to the principal. It escapes me how I ever thought this organization had a handle on things. Talk about Twilight Zone…

Nutter Center - how appropriate. :-P
The kids outside the org are out to get you, the kids inside the org are out to get you, the elders check your alibi before they even confont you on an accusation - seriously, is there a "Christian" religion that paints a bleaker picture for these poor kids?

Magwitch, I have to add one more line that's so unbelievable that I can't get it out of my head . . . No way! He's not gay! He's one of Jehovah's Witnesses! . . . as if being gay is the same as celebrating birthdays or doing drugs!
And more on topic: I would not want to be a parent with young children there and have to explain everything to them. The talks go over their heads, but the dramas are the only part of the conventions that kids actually pay attention to. At least, it was that way for me growing up.

That was awful. Regardless of subject matter the whole thing was just embarressing. I literally cringed the whole time. Yep definitely twilight zone.

Good point Folllowedmyheart I knew one bethelite as a close friend and he turned out to be gay. I felt this drama was idiotic all the way around. I know the elders are instructed not to weigh the evidence from "worldly" people or "internet gossip" the way they would a real accusation (from a witness). I was an elder for 6 years I would have went to the young brother - if he was a"good" boy and denied it - that would be the end of the judicial matter. If he was a "bad" Kid he would probably be DF'd. BTW - that is why I won't be an elder again...

I tried to watch it. It just made me cringe. The tiny comments from the audience I heard that the camera picked up made me cringe harder. Then I fell asleep. But I can guess the end!

RP, yeah, I think you may be reading too much in to the Uncle Jack comment. It's good to know your are paying very close attention though!

That one really ticked me off too. As if it isn't hard enough for a gay person to try to be a JW anyway. Again, hypocrisy on the WT's part. They say that being gay is something that one can live with as a JW, as long as they don't act on their impulses. Then, in the drama, they make it sound like it's impossible for a JW to be gay at all. Which version of the story do you think most JWs will adopt?

Just to note. All married characters in dramas must be real a married couple. This rule goes back to when the dramas were started. So I would assume the parts of Joseph and Potifars wife would have to be a married couple.
