  the-illuminator - I notice even in the 'lord's prayer' Jesus didn't say 'Hallowed be your name which is Jehovah!'

  You would have thought if it was such a big deal this was the ideal time for him to do so.

  Modern-day apostates display characteristics similar to those of the Devil. Their mind may be poisoned by a critical attitude toward individuals in the congregations, Christian elders, or the Governing Body.

  I remember reading about a guy who lived a long time ago who had a very critical attitude towards certain individuals in the synagogue, the priests and the Pharisees. I'm pretty sure he was viewed as an 'apostate' too.

  Some geezer called Saul also had some bother with being an 'apostate' from the organization at the time!

  'Apostates' = The invisible and ficticious enemy to rally JWs together in a common cause. (Sounds like propaganda to me!)

  Some apostates oppose the use of the divine name, Jehovah.

  One of my JW in-laws told my wife that 'apostates cannot say the name Jehovah'.

  The only Apostates I have ever met are on this site.

  The identifying mark of such apostates is a knowledge of the Bible and also the WTS far exceeding that of R&F JW's. Articles by Doug Mason & Co would leave your average elder dumbfoundered.

  St George - The only 'apostates' I met just wanted a pint down the pub. They didn't want to preach to anyone, just live their lives without having JWs calling them names and attacking their character day in day out.

  The GB are the instigators of 'hate crime'!

  Punk, this reminds me of the Hate Rally's that were held in Orwell's 1984 agains the fictional revolutionary Goldstein. The people were simply told that his ideas were "evil" and "dangerous" and the people were whipped up into a frenzy of hatred at the mere image of him.

  In the same way, the WTBS attacks anyone who disagrees with them or otherwise doesn't completely submit to their total authority. They liken those who disagree as being "children of Satan". This is absolutely shameful. Who they hell are they to determine why somebody has a moral objection to their particular brand of Christianity? Oh right, they are spokesmen for God and when they die they will be IMMORTAL GODS IN HEAVEN OVER THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE ALONGSIDE THE ALMIGHTY. High-control, indeed.

They are not interested in learning about Jehovah or in serving him. Like their father, Satan, apostates target people of integrity. (John 8:44) No wonder servants of Jehovah avoid all contact with them!—2 John 10, 11. w09 4/15

And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”4 “Skin for skin!” Satan replied. “A man will give all he has for his own life. 5 But now stretch out your hand and strike his flesh and bones, and he will surely curse you to your face.”

  ^ Ex Jehovah's Witnesses are more like Job than Witnesses. The Governing Body and the Watchtower plays God with the lives and families of millions of people. It is the Watchtower that hates, and punishes, people with true integrity.
