Angelina Jolie is not as HOT as she has been projected to be and she stinks as an actor.

I'm on the same page with you Flipper !!

Plus all the new talented crop of young people that are making movies now which I wouldn't spend a half penny on. All the "Josh, Taylor, Zach" and the rest of the untalented bunch of em'.

Thank God for Ted Turner who started the TCM Movie Channel, now that's some old school talent there !!

yeah all of the above, especially Brad Pitt

What about the actors in "The King's Speech?" There were some pretty good actors in that movie, but nothing really special, and the movie itself was mildly likeable, but not worthy of all the awards it received.

I was never all that crazy about George Clooney, esp. in his ER days, but he's slowly starting to grow on me.

Never much cared for Madonna, though I liked her in Evita.

I respect Bob Dylan as an artist, but still not sure if I'm onboard with the "rock god"/"genius" status. Same goes for Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. Actually there are a few artists from that era I still think are overrated.

Rene Zellweger was pretty cute but I never quite got the multiple-Oscar-nominations thing even when she hit her stride. I think Russell Crowe is pretty much finished in that respect as well.

One celeb I think has a lot of potential is Jeremy Renner. I'm anticipating what he does next.

I agree "The King's Speech" was overrated. Good, but overrated. Fincher and Aronovsky lost for Best Director to Tom Hooper? Are you friggin' kidding me?

I feel that Brad Pitt is a very good actor but is handicapped by his pretty boy looks. I never really like the "Sex in the city" girls or story line or the acting.

I loved the King's Speech! And I am an Anglophile. Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt are on my list. I thought Geoffrey Rush was better than Colin whatever. George Clooney has true talent but I believe he is overrated. Brintey, Bieber, GaGa, Madonna - most of her stuff was fluff pop and controversial not as art but to sell. Yet she did some things, such as Evita, that greatly impressed me.

Pretty boys tend to make the list. Rock Hudson types. I prefer the Spencer Tracey types. When you are effeminately handsome, I believe your talent must be larger.

My rock star heroes of my youth - The Beatles, most Stones, The WHO, Clapton, Dylan shock me. I thought their music would last two years at the time. I thought Frank Sinatra was the enemy of my music. Now I listen to Sinatra and wow! I am downloading Louis Armstrong, another antiBritish invasion agent. It makes me cry how achingly beautiful the music is. The lyrics of Townshend and Dylan are so complex for their ages at the time. Paul Simon is only a few years older than me. I could not compose those ideas now --let alone at the time he brought into the big time.

I have tons of early Dylan stuff. When he showed up at Bangladesh and took the concert from George Harrison, I was at both shows and thought I was in heaven. A few months later I saw him in a commercial tour. He must have issues about performing for money. One of the all time worst concerts of my life. I was all over the eastern seaboard. Woodstock, Village Vanguard, Filmore East. I adore his early music and am amazed at its breadth and depth. His later music tends to be mediocre.

Paul McCartney was my first favorite Beatle. True love. Beatles and Wings songs are magnificent and more. I am truly embarassed to hear much of his later music. Of course, I see him every tour. The crowd is on its feet, on the chairs, in ecstasy for his true songs. He insists on performing these dud songs for an interlude. Everyone sits, most of the audience leaves for beverages. Bummer time until the interlude is over. The man is not stupid. It is so visible to him.

Kenny Rogers has the most irritating voice I've ever heard.

I never saw the appeal of someone with a voice that grated and cracked.

I love Cyndi Lauper, but she's nothing special as a singer, either.

Fun, yes, Cyndi is just plain old fun to sing along with and she shows emotion in her singing.
