I'm with you on the single malts love them or least most of them. My all time favorite is a 25 yr old Springbank.
Here's where I'll break with you about blended, try some Usquaebach. It is a blend but it is a damn fine blend. Will cost you about $100 USD and is worth every penny.

For you Jack Daniel's lovers, I prefer Jim Beam. It is less expensive, and I think it is smoother. On ice, you can taste the difference. With cola, all bourbon tastes the same to me.
