I apologize for not being around much. Some of you have expressed interest in my writing, so here is the latest:

I think we would rather hear about younger women than Energy Healing (or even your birthday).

I really enjoyed that! Your landlady sounds a lot like me... Only swap the astrology and psychic abilities for crystals and veganism! Lol

I love Reiki, amazing! I am hoping to become attuned soon.

    Can't wait to read more!

    Peace

Reiki is a laying on of the hands to help your energy flow so you feel better. Basically, an Asian massage parlor.

I actually knew a Japanese massuse that went by the name of Reiki, at least I think she was a masseuse...she really knew how to get the "tension out".

To those who never heard of this speculative healing treatment

Reiki ( ?? ? , English pronunciation: /'re?ki?/ ) is a spiritual practice [ 1 ] developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. The teaching was continued and adapted by various teachers. It uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of complementary and alternative medicine and is sometimes classified as oriental medicine by some professional bodies. [ 2 ] Through the use of this technique, practitioners claim to transfer healing energy in the form of ki through the palms. [ 3 ]

There are two main branches of Reiki, commonly referred to as Traditional Japanese Reiki and Western Reiki. Within both Traditional and Westernised forms of Reiki, there are three forms of degrees, commonly referred to as the First, Second, and Master/Teacher degree. According to Reiki practitioners and Masters, at First Degree, a Reiki practitioner is able to heal himself and others, at Second Degree is able to heal others distantly (commonly called distant healing) with the use of specialised symbols, and at Master level (specifically Master/Teacher level) is able to teach and attune others to Reiki.

A 2008 systematic review of randomisedclinical trials concluded that "the evidence is insufficient to suggest that reiki is an effective treatment for any condition. Therefore the value of reiki remains unproven." [ 4 ]

The only known benefit from this healing procedure, is the power of self consciousness suggestion that the receiver develops.

Many old ancient healing remedies from the orient have substantiated their healing properties based on psychology rather than

the supposed drugs and chemicals contained in those remedies. The other healing process over time is the body itself.

Asian Massage Parlor? Lord, we have plenty of those happy ending joints. My Reiki healer didn't do anything more than simply rest her finger tips on my Chakra points. No massage or joint manipulation as I mentioned in my story. I am aware that some Massuses incorporate Reiki in their work though. I believe I just got straight Reiki on Saturday.
