Seems they don't always honor a No Trespassing sign. They also don't always honor repeated warnings that witlesses are not welcome to spread their cancer. Look what they did to Danny Haszard, who had prominent No Trespassing signs displayed on his property, repeatedly warned them not to call on him, and is a known apostate. They didn't respond to anything less drastic than pepper spray--which to me is stubborn on the part of the witlesses, who could have avoided the whole mess had they heeded to the No Trespassing signs.

So they wont EVER leave me alone unless I become "visibly upset and emphatically insist" they do not call ever again? I suffer with agoraphobia, severe panic attacks, and have some form of anxiety 24/7. I also have Aortic Reflux (blood goes wrong way in my heart chambers)........so unless I have a nervous breakdown in their presence and they hospitalise me they wont be happy.................

If you can't find a place that sells them, you can make your own fairly inexpensively.
A "Ray Franz is my hero" sign wouldn't hurt either.

This is something I've wondered about before in other canvassing threads. The First Amendment only applies to government, not private property. The town cannot bar them from public sidewalks. Fortunately, I lived for decades in a Manhattan rental. The front door is secured. Entry codes must be entered. They like the shelter from the weather and not walking so far to go door to door. All the tenants were security conscious because we were the beachead for yuppie renewal. Street people lingered.
Witnesses would sneak in when Chinese food was delivered. I asked them to give me the name of the tenant who gave them permission to knock on my door. As I told them, I needed to telephone the fellow tenant. My understanding was that with express tenant permission they could knock. If they could not give me the tenant info, I would politely call the local police at the precinct number, not 911. They always left the building.
There has to be a point from the public sidewalk to someone's private property. They have no right to preach on your property unless you expressly invite them to do so. Yet from doing Witness work and canvassing in political campaigns, it seems like access to the door is a free zone.
When I clerked with the local ACLU, I could not believe my ears. Cross burning is legal! It is a First Amendment right on your own property to make a statement. It is only illegal when you do on private or public property.
No one is going to prosecute them for violating a no trespassing sign. There may be a civil action but what are the damages? Calming informing them that they must scat or the police will come will make them run. Does anyone know about the sidewalk to door zone from Witness work? I can't be the first person to question this scenario? Most property owners don't seem to realize their stairs are private property. Imagine a fall from your steps and your liability.

JW's are told to respect "No Trespassing" signs, that doesn't mean all will.
Probably the best thing to do without plastering your property with ugly signs is to call the Kingdom Hall and tell them you want to be marked as a "DO NOT CALL", you address will be noted on the territory card not to be called on.
