Yep, I will celebrate by myself, well, with my two kids. It is better to love myself, than to get a gift in Feb. from someone who is just going through the motions. Someday I hope to find that someone special. But I am not losing any sleep over it.

Hi All,
I don't know whether I should enter this thread or not.
I have MY VALENTINEor maybe it should be, MY VALENTINE.
What you have done with your posts is made me appreciate, my valentine, and so tomorrow I will not take it for granted, and make an expression of Happy Valentine to my one and only.
I did not realize how many of you out there, were alone, with no one real close to share your inner selves on a day dedicated to closeness, warmth and friendship.
Sometimes, words in a card, a message on the internet are not enough, but they help.
So my wish is that all of you, male or female, be my collective Valentine tomorrow and all the days to come.
But there may be something I can do. I want to share something with you. We have two sons, the younger, blonde blue eyed, outgoing, girlfriend popular, etc. aged twenty two.
The other, age twenty-four, dark wavy hair, a loner, shy, finds making friends difficult. He recently completed a degree in archeology, and another course in wilderness guiding program. But it is hard for him to find work in activities that he loves. He presently works graveyard shift for a security firm, drives around all night alone for ten hours, checking out premises. He sleeps during the day.
His appearance is almost like a Greek god, but he thinks he is hidious, his self esteem has always been low. This morning while having tea with my wife and I he says, do you think there are girls out there that would like me, that are the same as me? By same as me, he means, loners, shy, depressed etc.
When I learn how to put pictures on this forum, I will post his picture here. In the meantime, maybe there is something you could do,if it is pleasing to you, no matter what your age or gender is. Could you send him an e-mail and wish him a happy Valentine's day. It would make my day, his mother's day as well as my boy's day. His name is Myles, his e-mail address reveals his name, but I do not care. e-mail: [email protected].
