Was today's WT study an indictment of us who still attend the KH?

@ Farkel - I'm not "spouting" anything and I'M CALM at the moment, not angry in the least. We are on the same team bro I didn't judge you just said it seemed harsh IMO. That's all. I feel for you, and it aint right what has happened.

I served as an MS/elder for almost 20 yrs so I know what that's like and am trying to atone for my past mistakes now that I've woke up...That's all we can do.

    Man up....interesting phrase isn't it?

Who is the bigger man? The one who left? Or the one that stayed to help others?

I would say neither is bigger than the other...they both have good reasons to do what they did...the point is...it takes a MAN to make a commitment to stand up and be counted...how you do it is up to you. Both have sacrificed.

I respect you both Farkel and CoC for what you have achieved and are achieving. You are both MEN that have Manned up in my opinion.

The society alluded to what apostates say in the "family drama" at this years's DC. They said they were described as a cult!

The articles on 607BCE are there to counter the "apostate" view that Jerusalem was destroyed in 586 / 587.

They are hoping by forewarning the Rank and File, of some of the "lies" that maybe seen online, that they are defusing the impact.

It is an effective strategy, it it will work with some, but it may create curiosity in others.

Yeah. It is not and has never been a contest. I've always liked and respected CoCo, and I will not dispute his reasons for doing what he is doing, especiallly since he has clarified his agenda. I like "deep cover" subterfuge!

I would have preferred that he leave swinging an axe like I did, but alas! CoCo has more class than I do!

f course, the Society's literature never clues the reader in on what exactly apostates teach nor how we infiltrators do our clandestine work of sabotaging the sheep's faith.

Because its an absolute lie. Its pure propoganda, designed to stop the reader from investigating and/or thinking beyond what is presented in each WT week in and week out. Can you imagine some elder promoting the trinity, or even the idea that "the end" is not close. Dude would be grilled in a JC within hours, if not sooner.

It takes a special, patient sort to open the mind of another. Usually it can only be done from within the family. Most who try fail miserably, (myself included) and get tossed out on their ear in a New York second. The WT today is just another desperate attempt to hold on to their dwindling flock. Their own ridiculous doctrine is their worst enemy, not any apostates from within or outside.

From here in the UK one dub told me that the consensus of opinion was that the washtowel wasn't about 'apostates' par se but only about those in or out who want to draw followers to them.

Apparently blokes like me are ok and not considered 'mentally diseased'.

If I'm honest, I think the GB ARE having a swipe at anyone not attending meetings. However, I think the article was of such a high intensity of hate that the more loving, liberal ones in the congregation couldn't take it.

I'm hoping it'll backfire on the GB and be a wake up call to those still sleeping in dubby dreamland.

Agree. I asked my wife who this article could be about; she went to the study. She said it was her impression that it was people in the hall; I wondered, laughing, who could that be? I can't imagine one person in her hall who would say anything contrary to orthodox WT belief.

But it does foster fear of information that is not from the 'slave' (the continued worship of the GB nauseates me).

Fear of sex, fear of knowledge apostate ideas, fear of apostates.

They are the most paranoid board of directors ever.

The drone comments I heard, mentally devasted me............... these people are not only agreeing, but 200% condemning us?

the people would let the society shit onm them, and ask: " can we have more "!
