I loved this on page 2....

If a member is charged with wrongdoing and wishes to continue to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, then such one should submit to the hearings of the judicial committee. Only if you wished to continue to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses would the judicial committee arrangement be appropriate or necessary.

What BS! There are so many of us on this board that did not want to be a JW. We just wanted to walk away and be left alone. But, those dumbasses insisted on a committee meeting and a DF'ing announcement.

    Re: Viewing the magnified image.

After selecting an image from the small icons at the bottom, and right clicking on that image, I chose 'View Image", which gave me an image that can be magnified.

I am using Firefox, and the choices of “Open Link in New Tab” or “Open Link in New Window” are not available.

The tone of this lawyer's reply underlines why I've lost all respect for this circus of a religion.

    14 PAGES !!

Does that tell you how important this issue is to WTS??

Marvin makes a good point -- What questions on other matters have deserved 14 pages of attention?

Okay, did anyone else catch this? Pages 7 & 8 with the court cases of other religious organizations, are basically saying "See! Look here, even if things are handled wrong (arbitrariness) and you are being treated unfairly, even by our own standards, you're still screwed!"

And the part on pg 4 that says one "voluntarily assented to associating with a religious organization subjects himself to the existing rules and procedures of the church and cannot deny their existence" is infuriating.

I'm sure every 12 yo understands when they're standing in an arena filled w/ 10,000 people watching them say "Yes" to two questions, that by their answers they have agreed that if they ever actually look into what they're being taught, and decide they can't believe it, that means they will be cut off from family and lifelong friendswith no real chance to explain their position and all reasons for their decision.

I wonder if this "legalism" about "voluntarily assented to associating with a religious organization subjects himself to the existing rules and procedures of the church and cannot deny their existence" holds any water for those that were baptized prior to the baptismal vows being changed to include "allegience" to God's Earthly Organization?
