If this phrase was said and written of a racial group, or a sexual orientation group, or a specific political group, or a whole religious denomination, it would cause such an uproar across the country. However, the WT has no problem stating this of their own ex/former members globally. It is outrageous!

Is this really your view or are you being ironic?
Without question, the fact that the Watchtower reduces itself to petty name calling is a clear and resounding symptom of their insecurity and lack of reasonable evidence to back up their unscriptual false teachings.
Why would any active supporter of the Watchtowe false prophets (should be false profits) frequent this site and defend their lies?
Really, let them do their own dirty work. Do you not know that in order to cover up a lie one must tell another, and another and so on?
Charles Taze Russel founded the Watctower religion on a lie. Namely that he had knowledge of the coming of the Lord. Information which, in time, proved false.
This is why they are extremely defensive and insecure of their spurious history and aggressively attack anyone who dares contradict them with abusive language. Yes, I'm sorry, It really is abusive language weather you like it or not.
If you are very ingenious at being ironic then I apologise.

As I wrote on another thread, I can see the WT using the metaphor defense as an excuse, but anybody reading the article will see their words are designed to single out a particular group of people and label them in such a way that the R&F Dubs, and any other readers of the Rag, will fear, hate and despise that group, ("Apostates").
I think that testimony as to how this article was understood by the averge congregation is very powerful ,if we cannot get a recording, perhaps some of you good folks on here will be prepared to give proof of what you heard said during the study, in some form that the Police will be able to use.
The actual words used, the motive behind them too, are not the most important transgression of the Act, it is the effect these words have.

cantleave, I take it you have a copy of the July 15 WT (study edition)?
Of course . . . testimony or a taped recording would reinforce it as being taught and accepted . . . but it is quite clear in the printed form.
We all know how the paragraph is usually parroted back word for word, sometimes repeatedly. So I hope you find some evidential support. I wish I had gone and recorded it now.

If apostates are mentally diseaded, they shouldn't be held accountable for their actions...they should be treated by a mental health specialist like people suffering from depression or other mental disorders many of which we find in all the congregations. As for me, I used to suffer from depression, but since I am out I no longer feel overly stressed or depressed.

Well, apostates are "mentally diseased," and they seek to infect others with their disloyal teachings. (1 Tim. 6:3, 4) Jehovah, the Great Physician, tells us to avoid contact with them. We know what he means, but are we determined to heed his warning in all respects?
I am sorry you misunderstood; I am NOT one of the lying Jehovah's Witnesses and I DO NOT support them or their views. Unfortunately i do have to support my wife who is an active member.
