I would like to think of myself as an academic. Im starting my second degree and i enjoy research. When i see a statement backed up by references and support from a credible source, sometimes i get excited. Here is something from today's Watchtower. Try to notice any credible sources which could make the VERY POWERFUL statement mentioned here valid:

We can enter into Jehovah’s rest—or join him in his rest—by obediently working in harmony with his advancing purpose as it is revealed to us through his organization. 17 On the other hand, if we minimized the Bible-based counsel that we receive through the faithful and discreet slave class, choosing to follow an independent course, we would be placing ourselves at odds with God’s unfolding purpose. (The Watchtower, 15th July 2011, page 28)

Yes, the only source is the one who is writing the statement. There is no scriptural support given in the article as to why the FDS have the power or the responsibility to dish out Jehovah's purposes. Actually, i rather enjoyed reading this article, but, of course, when i reached the last 2 paragraphs... apart from chuckling to myself, it made me want to rip up the magazine and throw it in the bin. I tell you now, i dont know why i keep reading this trash, but it just enrages me more and more. WHY CANT JW'S SEE IT? "The organisation are Jehovah's chosen organisation?" "Says who?" "Well... the organisation do!" Does this sound like circular reasoning? I cant help but think about all those people i grew up with, who i loved very much, sitting there this morning and being wilfully spoon fed this nonsensical bo**ocks!

I pray that my old friends and ALL those trapped in this organisation WAKE UP!

This is one of the realizations that finally made me realize that it was OK to just quit the WTS. Even the GB doesn't honestly know it's God's true religion or whatever. He doesn't talk to them. He doesn't even send them a postcard once a year. They're just asserting it, plain and simple. Done and done.

Even the "tests" they claim to pass, such as qualities of the true religion mentioned in the Bible, are cherry picked. Like all denominations, they site the qualities they think they have and ignore the rest.

WT just might be the inventors of circular reasoning. While "in" I was voicing my doubts about the GB to them that might listen and the meaningful friends would direct me to articles written by the GB. HUH? Picture yourself like heaven looking down, it's funny, isn't it? In English "I'm afraid they might be scoundrels" "well, then, maybe you missed something they wrote, go read it!" A college could be instituted to research and explain how a brain can think like that. "I fear they might be false, then go read more of what they have written?" Do people hear themselve's think? Aparently not.

Surely the Borg wishes that the R&F would read the WT publications as regularly as do apostates!

Haven't you noticed that every thing the say comes true? Why would you doubt them? Isaiah 44:26, “the One making the word of his servant come true, and the One that carries out completely the counsel of his own messengers.”

We can enter into Jehovah’s rest—(redundant statement) or join him in his rest—by obediently (do as the GB says now!!) working in harmony with his advancing (WBT$ isn't advancing. It's in confusion with all the light going on and off then back on) purpose (do more. Obey the GB) as it is revealed to us through his (Jah used as an 'appeal to authority') organization. (Obey the GB) 17 On the other hand, if we minimized the Bible-based counsel (do more. Obey the GB. Hobson's choice again! Only 2 alternatives means 'US vs: THEM') that we receive through the faithful and discreet slave class, (Class? Since when was the vague parable at Matt 24:45 turned into a 'class'? Obey the GB. Mystical manipulation!) choosing to follow an independent course, (Obey the GB) we would be placing ourselves at odds with God’s unfolding purpose. (Appeal to authority and appeal to fear. God = GB)
