There is not a single thing I was taught by the Watchtower that I still believe. Not a single word.

The best thing you can do for anybody is to encourage independent thinking. Once they give themselves permission to do that they will find their own path.

LOL Funny OP. Hey, even Ted Bundy has some good things. I heard he was smart, charming, and a successful lawyer. Shall I simply concentrate on the positive? Silly.

Who says that just because I'm out of one religion means that I have to go form another? Religion isn't the answer...it's the problem.

Start a reformed movement that holds on to say 1/2 of these beliefs you once believed in as a stepping stone down for your family members that won't have anything to do with you.

    1. As a born-in, I didn't believe much of what was forced on me by the JWs anyhow (and knew that from a very young age).

    2. Stepping stone down, my tuckus. I've stepped UP.

    3. As to the last part of your sentence re: family: why the flip would I want to do that, just so they will have something to do with me? I'm done with conditional love and acceptance. So much for their so-called Christian love. It's everything but.

We should keep 1/2 a Bucket of Shit?

On a serious note though, OP, if people want to start their own delusional group to mislead themselves they can do that on their own. Or there are plenty of other existing delusional groups to join.

It would be so unethical to deliberately delude people. We all did that enough in our past lives.

As to the negativity, well, it's venting. Most people come here because they had a bad experience, so that's why you see what you believe is a skewed view.

We shouldn't make a splinter group for reasons similar to why Charles Taze Russell shouldn''t have made his.

And dear Fartbethel [what an unusual screen-name], you have apparently never been treated like shit after 4 or 5 decades of 'dedicated service' by everyone you know, for your 'terrible sin' of finding out your religion was lying to you the whole time, eh?

Try it, you might find it a pleasant experience, with no bitterness or need to vent whatsoever.

They want us to start a group. Are you a spy? Now tell us true.

If any group is formed they'll say see! apostates! Told you so. Their such babies.

Like, grow up, why don't you?

I guess the only thing I can think of is that they don't go to war. If you have addictive personality maybe a controlling cult is a good idea for you but I'm sure there are other better methods to help you.

There is no need to start another cult based on fiction. Please tell us what good do you see in WTS that you don't see in other religions?
