On the one hand it is to be expected.But often this is used for internal political maneuvering. No doubt it could also be used for a false flag operation.
On the other, with the current choice in US presidential politics, it is of course of the essence to have an emeny close by if the warhawks, be thry blue or red, wish to have a chance at all at installing another puppet, fall guy, scapegoat. Diverting attention to international matters, read another military adventure, to stiffle the call for real change and solutions.
Convenient for the Iranian government too. The more they can divert attention to international matters, read the great Satan, the more the voices of democracy are stiffled.
A bit to convenient, wouldn't you say?
