So, do you think truth is our driving force journey-on...is it the meaning of life?...the reason we are here? to search for what is true?
Yes. And in the interim, Life moves us, carries us along, teaches us the lessons, points the way, paints our picture, helps us put another piece into the puzzle, dots more I's and crosses more T's. It is the SEARCH for Truth that is our driving force, imho.

    IMO

Truth is related to our ego. What I believed as true (and important) as a young man, no longer applies and this process continues. If all my "truth" was taken away at once, I would be in danger of losing my ego state and my version of reality. This came close a decade ago, so I went back to physical reality as true e.g. I step off that cliff I die. I don't eat or drink I die and worked from there. Most truth is relative to the situation and our personal needs.

Truth is what IS real. Not what we THINK is real.

Truth does not change. Only our understanding (or misunderstanding) of it changes.

Such as... once the world was flat. That was truth... then. Truth now is that the world is spherical.

So the first was never truth... it was only thought to be truth.

The truth is...our search for truth is a luxury...some people don't have that choice...their truth is already decided and as clear as day.

Quite simply truth is the opposite of what is not truth. Therefore truth can be found in many places standing there in contrast with all of the untruths. As truth pertains to god when we die we will have the truth one way or the other. Either there is a god or there isn't. If there is then we will have to decide what to say to him. If there isn't, well I quess it wont matter, neither will we care. lol

our search for truth is a luxury

Our search for Truth is not a luxury. We have got to continue looking for answers......Spiritual answers. Scientific answers. Social answers. Education answers. Communication answers. Logistical answers. You name it. The truth is out there and we are driven to know it.

Looking at that picture above hurts me. It angers me. It frustrates me. When I put all those feelings together, I get one big question: Why?

When you ask 'why', you will get a hundred answers in rants and raves from everybody with something to prove or an agenda to push. But, there is a core truth to the real answer. Billions and billions of dollars, euros, and currencies of all kinds have poured into these poverty-ridden countries.

Government agencies, the United Nations, and private agencies have devoted huge sums of money, energy, emotion, time, assistance, and sweat toward the eradication of such conditions (so they tell us). These populations are fed for a time, but next year or the year after, what do you have? The same. Nothing changes. Ever since I was a young girl, I have seen these kinds of pictures. Precious little faces with flies buzzing around their nostrils, too weak to brush them away. And we cry, and we donate, and we hurt, and some of us, like a doctor friend of mine, actually goes there and does her best to DO something.

We have not found the core Truth for it yet. I tend to think Love is The Answer for all things. But, what is Love? Love, imo, goes deeper than just propping up something that is weakened or broken. When we find the core truth of what is causing an evil, we can find the real answer to solving the problem. Then we move on to the next one.

If all intelligence is connected, we really do have the foot saying to the eye "I don't need you". We have the finger saying to the hand "your stupid". We have the face saying to the hair "I hate you". We have the ear saying to the nose "I wish you were different." Then you have the human "race" so busy hating it's self, little gets done for LOVE and JUSTICE. And one half of brain can't agree with the other half, and oh, it's God's fault, so it's the heart that is sick. The cure? Truth. Jesus never said he is monopolizing the way, the truth, the life, but somebody is. And we are all falling for it.

there are multiple kinds of truth. things that are true whether you want the to be or not, truths that can change, things that are true for one person and not for another.
