I know a lot of well-to-do witnesses.
yeah.........and most of them are elders.........all the friends money (green handshake) can buy.........who the hell said it was lonely at the top.

The owner of Ty Europe is an Elder in the Southampton / Portsmouth area. I knew him quite well.
I used work for a UK franchise operation owned by some very wealthy JW's.
In our old congo there was a guy who made million or two by running a door to door utility sales company (I miss his 42 foot motor cruiser and Ferrari).

There were a few in our congregation that drove expensive cars, not sure if they would be defined as rich but they were certfainly better off than the rest of us.
I always found it strange when they gave talks on materialism when theren were more expensive cars in the car park than any other church I have passed.

We had one multi-millionaire in our Congo.
Mind you, he went through a divorce, so I guess he is now worth half what he was, still half of a few Mill. is still a lot.
Why the interest in Rich JW's ?
I knew another couple who took over Daddies business when he retired early to go in to Pioneering, his daughter told me lots in her Congo were jealous because of their wealth, she said to me "You must know what its like " ???!!!????
She must have thought I had money just because I had my own similar business, little did she know !
We had a lot in our Congo. who liked to give the impression they were doing very well, big Audis, BMW's, Mercedes', etc a C.O remarked that he had never seen such a prosperous looking K.H car park, little did he know that many of these were men of straw, some went Bankrupt several times, one was convicted of fraud, not all "that glisters is gold"

Where I live, it is mostly people that are barely making it. One family I know (now the lead hounder) cut way back on their sustenance so they could all pious-sneer. And now they are quite a bit poorer for it all. Others I know of that had their own business (including one that ran booths in trade shows) ran it so they had barely enough for themselves and for their field misery, instead of trying to build a little cushion or having something to enjoy. Yet, they can pious-sneer.
I don't think there are any witlesses around here that are actually rich. Maybe middle class, maybe a touch above the center of "middle class". But, that is about it. No one gets rich. No one starts a business with the idea of building a reasonably secure retirement or providing reasonably decent jobs (and that was back in the 1990s, back when it was legal to do so without a bunch of traps hidden in 2,000 page bills). No one ever invests anything, either in stocks and bonds or in gold, silver, and commodities. And of course no one ever wins prizes in the lottery (even if someone did win a sweepstakes or inherit a sizable sum of money, into the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund it all goes).
Yet, I have seen people, poor as they were, stuffing $20 bills (in the early 1990s, again when they were worth something) into the Worldwide Pedophile Defense Fund like they were rubbish.

There was a wealthy building contractor in Cleveland, who hired young JW's out of prison after WWII
to give them a job for parole requirements. His family was strong in the organization, but do not believe
he was ever baptized.

ex-PRO GOLFER, now builds mega courses for the rich and wealthy, I am sure he is concerned with the "End"

Well there is one elder here that thinks he is well of... He once said he early retired when he was making 6 digets to pioneer.... as if that was something BIG!!! they 1st moved ito a travel trailer about 15 years ago cuz the new system was right around the corner... but then had to build a house cuz the travel trailer wasn't ment to be lived in for that long.... they act all that but?????
another "weak" family owns a building buisiness I'd say he brings in some money but doesn't act like a creep!! would take off his shirt to help someone in need. Oh they let me live with them when I was in crisis!! good people
