Here's to someone who actually pushed the world in a positive direction. I do currently believe that progress is an overaching aspect of world history, and it is partially due to people like Steve Jobs.

He was a good guy, now it seems that technology is going in reverse with the advent of Wind turbines and Ecobulbs, technology and science is always the answer, when the need arises technological advances step in i.e how can we transport all this corn enter the wheel, always have faith in man's know how! Concorde was a brilliant machine shrinking the world, destroyed by the Eco freaks, we need more innovation not less, it's the fault of the greenies!
Yes let's protect the forests, but not at the detriment of the human race! Let's get ourselves out into the Galaxy!

It's unfortunate that the amazing technologies we possess are being used for the enrichment of the fortunes of the few, rather than the living quality of the many.

Star Tiger, I think we can do both efficiently. In fact I world argue that much new technology, like electric cars, are innovative due to environmental concerns. Another example: due to computers, we kill less trees. I think that may have been one Jobs biggest innovations, the possibility of an almost paperless world.
