We had a tornado alert during the service meeting at our hall. We were all ushered to the basement, and I pulled out my cell phone to call my husband to make sure he was all right. I got one of the dirtiest looks from one of the elders. I didn't realize they were in the process of resuming the meeting in the basement.

I am surprised they haven't put in some time of cell phone blocking device (like they do in some court jury rooms). That is something I wouldn't put past them - they would go that low to demand attention at their mind numbing meetings.
