    Baptism and Full-Time Ministry
In 1940 several in our congregation rented
a bus and traveled to the convention held
in Detroit, Michigan. A few in our bus group
got baptized there. Some wondered why I
did not, as I had been preaching since
    the age of five
and was very active in the
    ministry.

He was 12 at the time, many kids were/are baptised by then. Note the next paragraph, after a bit of 'extra help' from his dad, he was baptised 4 months later.

Don't ya just love it. He didn't even understand all that was involved, but four months later was dunked in what seems like must have been a frigid pond. I don't doubt the veracity of this story, just think it

speaks to the idiocy of this cult. And yes, at one time I thought they were wonderful and could not err.

When they asked me about it, I replied, "I
don't understand all that is involved in baptism."
Father overheard me and was surprised.
From then on, he made extra effort
to help me understand what baptism means
and its importance. On a very cold day four
months later, October 1, 1940, I was baptized
in a pond outside of Chattanooga.

Dragged around the doors in my pushchair until I could walk. Handed leaflets to householder until I could remember enough to offer magazines. Thousands just like me through 1940', 50's and still the same happens today.

They stole my childhood, adolescence and most of the rest of my life.

George. Old, bitter and still trapped due to family.

    Ditto to St George.

My parents were pioneering when they got married and I was born 9 1/2 mos later (1948). I heard the stories they told of being in service when I was too young to remember. When I was about 5, I was knocking on the doors inside the house practicing door to door work.

When I got a little older I learned to truly hate field circus - always tried to pick the houses that looked like no one was home.

Just a little bit of righteous bullshitting.

I used to go out in service with my father when I was only 9 or 10 might have taken one or two calls at the time,

but mostly it was my father making the presentations.
