NewChapter...I love your thoughts, talk about hitting the hammer on the head. I feel OWS will only grow. After all that's what it has been doing. They even sat out the storm in NY and that was a COLD one.

Unfortunately the OWS in Oakland turned ugly and I hate to see businesses destroyed and people hurt.

Perhaps if they were better organized (or did not really want anarchy) they would be policing themselves.

protesters protest untill they feel they are heard. If they dont get the reponse they want they ramp up the protesting. History proves this. They are not there to be polite and accomidating. They are not there to follow the rules. Lets be realistic when it comes to what kind of behavior to expect.

They need to find a leader to be a spokesperson for them. To say "they are not there to follow the rules" Really lifestooshort? Don't we all have to follow rules in a civilized society? I am all for protesting and exercising the right to protest and freedom of speech and all that but to trample on the rights of other citizens by ruining property and causing violence is not the behavior anyone should have to tolerate.

Lets just narrow history down to American history. Reflect on past protest. Did they follow the rules? NO the rules is what they were protesting. Can revolutions or civil war be done with politeness. NO! Are the entities who have or abuse the power going to say, "OK, you have a good point thank you for pointing that out!" An then turn over the power, or autourity, or assets. Hell no! Have we forgotten American histroy? HOw many laws were broken by the event called the Tea Party? Which is now considered to be done by the greatest patriots. If your are going to effect change you have to get your hands dirty(and by dirty I mena bloody) I am not saying its right but it is a reality.

It's causing people to use their voice, to think, to have some communication. These protesters are opening the way for those that are fearful to been seen or heard with the issues that bother them. I don't agree with what some individual cities have done, but I support the movement. They had one hell of an influence with Bank Transfer Day happening with the large turnout it had. This has caused me to lose some friends that are opposed to the movement. Where we have been able to mesh together with our differences over time....the hatred coming from them has been more than I want to deal with any longer. JW's can observe from the sidelines and talk about all the lawlessness....but everything others fight for JW's and others benefit from .

Some of the violence you have seen on TV was actually planted there by opposers to the movement. We watch in horror at other countries where unarmed protesters are hurt, our streets are looking that way now.

If your one that is doing well right now and think the protesters are a bunch of socialists hippies, look deeper. It's very easy to be judgemental.

If you want to keep believing Jehovah is going to fix everything... fine....while your doing that people are out there fighting for the rights of everyone, where everyone will benefit....and the planet. Maybe Jehovah has put this in their hearts to fight for whats right. In any matter, it has to be done. One way or the other.

Seems stupid. What are they protesting? I read on my local Fox site that they want free university education, debt forgiveness, & to do away with the credit reporting companies among other things. I don't get it.

Now THERE's an unBIASED source. I am not sure if I am ready to believe that.

Personally, I think this movement is exactly what this country needs right now.
