I could easily sit at home and not know my neighbors and they not know me. But I share extra food stuffs with my neighbors and they likewise share with me. The world is cooling off only if we are cooling off. When I was a jw, they were more unloving than the world.

Amen! That was one of the first things I discovered. People from all religions or lack of* are willing to help and support me at this time... all except JWs of course. Pagan, wiccan, catholic, baptist, orthodox, non-denom christian, atheist and agnostic, and likely some I forgot.
yes, that's your imagination. paul said something along the lines. but he was either completely wrong or this simply is not the time of the end. the world we live in right now is so much better than the world was say 80 years ago.
of course many people have nice cuddly childhood memories, but that's not because times were better, but because they were younger.
