Just saw this. I wish your kitty a speedy recovery and both of you many years of fond memories. Sometimes we're closer to our pets than family, so I know when a pet hurts, so do we.

Take care, Tal, and good thoughts your way ^_^

our cat is getting on and recently had an ulcer in his eye. Took a while but he healed eventually. He drives me nuts asking for food everytime I move a muscle but there is nothing better than cuddling up with the cat and a cup of tea and sharing the moment.

I'm thinking of your pussy cat talesin. We have two cats, Pogue and Donut. I flew Pogue from NZ to Australia because he's part of our family, I would care for him like a human.

In view of the cat bite, have you made sure he's vaccinated for FIV ? So-called cat AIDS ? I lost my big black Cole from a cat bite last year. I still get upset about him.

Sorry to hear about your kitty's problems.

We have two cats and we've noticed that one of them gets infections in wounds much easier than the other one. We really have to make sure to clean even the smallest of wounds on that cat or we'll be off to the vet again. Two years in a row we missed an infected wound and the poor guy wound up spending several days at the vet having his wounds treated. The last time this happen we didn't notice the problem right away. When we did notice something we thought he had a few little scratches around his ear and eye that got infected. When we took him to the vet and the vet shaved the area it looked like something tried to bite his head off.

It sounds like you are on top of the situation so I'm sure she'll get better soon.

I adore cats....wishing your kitty a speedy recovery. My little dog also had an incident which caused a problem with her eye...infection set in and she had to have an operation. After a considerable time, the eye healed......many heart stopping moments because our animals have always been our babies too.....

Just wanted to add that the first vet we took her to, said all was fine but my gut feeling indicated that there was more going on with the eye......took her for a second opinion....thankfully.....so, trust your instincts too.....

    Loving thoughts for kitty....

I wanted you all to know,,,, Blue is okay! The abcess is healed, and yes, her eye was all swollen, but it's just an irritation.

Thank you so much,,, it's a big deal when our 'silent' friends are sick .. and having support during that time ..

    ..... it is GOLD!

    merci!

I'm so glad your little fur baby is better.

Yikes! Taking it for a drive was the answer to a vet a long time ago?

I remember my dad taking our dogs for a few of those "drives" into the mountains.

I'm still very angry about that.

    Know what the "problem" was?

My mom and dad decided that they couldn't afford dog food anymore, so over the years my dad took them away and shot them.

    I'm mortified by this knowledge.

Actually, I think they got pregnant, too, so he "took care" of the problem.
