Don't I love Leolaia's immediate rebuttal of the chart and historical info....You would not find that kind of intellectual response in any Kingdom Hall or "pro J W Board" ( I belong to one and all they want to discuss is what is ok and not ok to do in the Congregation....

That is laughable ! Are they not the chosen "Slave Class?" Did Daniel not foretell that in the time of the end "The true knowledge will become abundant" and "The ones having insight will understand"

It is funny. BTW, Rutherford just before he died used ch. 11 of Daniel to prophesy that WWII would end, not with a decisive victory for any side, but with an armistice that would lead directly into Armageddon:
"Just how long thereafter THE FINAL END comes is not revealed to creatures up to the present time. No one has authority to attempt to say just what day or hour THE FINAL END arrives.... Today (1941) "the king of the north" is easily identified as being represented in the so-called "Axis powers" composed of Greater Germany, Italy, and the Roman Catholic Hierarchy, with chief offices at Vatican City. Here again politics and religion, or demonism, form a combination to rule and to keep the people in ignorance of Jehovah’s gracious provision for mankind. The chief objective of this present-day ’king of the north' is world domination.... The undisputed facts show that Hitler and his allies are moving forward with that very purpose in mind.... The Bible and physical and historical facts plainly identify "the king of the south" as the world ruling-power that claims the right to rule and rules in the name of Democracy.... What a big fail. And this FAIL was revising an earlier false prophecy in which Rutherford predicted that victory by the Axis Powers was inevitable: "The totalitarian combine is going to get control of England and America. You cannot prevent it. Do not try" (Face the Facts, 1938, p. 27). One could imagine the result if Churchill had listened to his advice.
BTW, I wouldn't characterize ch. 11 of Daniel as a "mythical ancient writing". It is actually a valuable historical account of the Syrian Wars written in the midst of the conflict from a Jewish point of view. It is written as an apocalyptic survey of history and uses the literary technique of vaticinium ex eventu (to v. 39, from v. 40 onward the author advances his own prognostication), but it has valuable historical information about events within Judea unknown from other sources. It is closely related to another account of the period 4Q248 (associated with other Danielic materials like the Prayer of Nabonidus [4Q242], the Vision of Daniel [4Q243-244], A Second Vision of Daniel [4Q245], and the Vision of the Son of God [4Q246]), which was written around the same time and which also uses the convention of ex eventu prophecy, and which contains historical details about Antiochus' invasion of Egypt found nowhere else. A third apocalyptic survey of history written around the same time is the Animal Apocalypse (1 Enoch 85-90), which also closely resembles ideas and literary techniques in Daniel, and this account has important information about social movements within Judea during the period as well.
