One of the dilemma facing Christianity today.

Problem facing nearly all Christians and Jews today.

Two related fundamental passages with the Hebrew-

Christian view of the OT. given their claim as to Yahwehs

    role in its production.

Yahweh directly guided the production of the laws found

in the Pentateuch. He also inspired the OT authors in

their production of the description of the demons, heaven

beasts and all else found in the OT.

A conflict arises in that nearly all Christians and Jews

do not believe that there are such spiritual creatures

inhabiting the realm of gods. They hold that there is

only One God though the prophets and Moses wrote

of many Gods. Current Hebrew and Christian creed

and the content of the Bible are in A conflict that

    wont go away.

What do you think, true or false.

    False.

God is used as a title and description. Little gods, and God. The one God being the creator. God told Abraham that he would be as 'god' to Aaron, right? Only in that Moses would tell Aaron what to say. So it is also a description of someone in charge. Satan being the 'god of this world.'

I have never even considered there to be a conflict or problem.

    Peace to you!

Tammy; Question, Do you believe in the description

of the demons, heaven beasts and all else found in

the OT and there are such spiritual creatures inhabiting

    the realm of God?

I may add, I have ask this question to several Christians,

"Do you believe the Bible to 100% accurate". The

answer 100% will say no, something are not to be

taken literally and that included ministers that made this

statement. Only JW believe everyword in the Bible.

    the realm of God?

I can't answer that question. I don't recall all the different ways they might be described. I do believe in spiritual creatures (angels/demons) and a spiritual realm.

And I would also say, no, I do not believe the bible to be 100% accurate. I do not believe it is inerrant.

One of the [many] dilemma facing Christianity today...

...is that the various sciences have proven the Bible totally false.

Another one is that God hasn't given any indication that "He" is there.

(Oh, we could go on and on. Plenty more besides your point.)

Thanks Tammy for your honesty. I am trying desperately

to believe in the Bible once again. If we could only separate facts

from fiction, wouldn,t that be great.

Agree On the way out. If science and religion could

    agree on one single point

@ ONTHEWAYOUT : One thing you dont realize is that science and religion dont mix. Science only deals with our natural world while religion deals with things pertaining to the supernatural or spiritual. No matter how hard you try, you can never justify science with religion and vice versa.

@jam : most so called christians esp. JWs consider the bible to be mostly symbolic which is to account for most of the misconceptions and misunderstandings that plague the christian church. One thing they dont realize is that, the bible does well to explain itself.

I believe the bible to be 100% accurate. Most part of the OT is just to serve as an ensample to the christian church today. in all the most important bit is knowing that the only way of salvation is through Jesus Christ.

I ain't asking them to "mix."

I said: ... the various sciences have proven the Bible totally false.

I am all for debate, but it doesn't have to be false claims of what I don't realize. You don't realize that you don't know what I realize.

If religion is about supernatural and spiritual things, then I will comment on the Bible's role in that. Whereever the Bible deals with the things that are not supernatural or spiritual, it has been proven totally false: the age of the earth, transitional forms instead of sudden appearance of different "kinds," Jews being enslaved in Egypt. When the supernatural would leave some natural proof, science has proven the Bible wrong: worldwide flood, Israelites wondering in the desert for decades.

You're welcome, Jam. Thank you for listening.

I cannot say that my faith is in the bible. The bible tells me a bit about the One I do put my faith in, according to those who knew or lived close to the time Christ was here in the flesh. I consider the bible to be more of a written witness account (no better or worse than any other historical account), and a finger pointing toward Christ.

    Peace,

    Tammy
