Liars avoid being too specific about the details- so they can change their story later, if they are found out. The name of one live member of the F&DS has never been stated in the WT. No JW has ever heard this before a talk at district convention/assembly.

"our next speaker is brother Kumquat, a senior writer for the Watchtower and a member of the Faithful and Discreet slave class."

or this in a WT handbill- Brother Knockwurst will give the keynote address on Sunday at 2pm." How the Kingdom will bless all mankind". He is a member of the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses and one of the Faithful and Discreet Slave class.

I've been out for 20 years now... hard to believe! Anyway, I remember we were taught that the F&D slave class were those ALIVE on the earth - some directly participating in the "feeding work" at headquarters and others not, but they did support those who did. They ALL are part of the 144,000. They are ALL of the heavenly class.

You're right Moshe . . . it's never been anything more than a clever concept.

It seems they got their start on this whole GB and FDS 'CLASS' way back in the 50s...

But what promotion does the discreet slave organization get for faithfully feeding all the Lord’s domestics? Jesus’ prophecy on the world’s end answers: “Happy is that slave if his master on arriving finds him doing so. Truly I say to you that he will appoint him over [what?] ALL his belongings.” (Matt. 24:46, 47, NW; Luke 12:43, 44) And now the facts show that Jesus promoted his anointed slave class in this way since 1919 WT 10/15/1950

Because of Timothy’s devotion to Jehovah God and Christ Jesus, the apostle Paul, under the guiding influence of the holy spirit, appointed Timothy to serve as an agent of the governing body of the Christian congregation in his day; being authorized to appoint mature men as overseers and assistants in the various Christian congregations. (1 Tim. 1:3; 3:1-15, NW) In this capacity Timothy pictured or represented the instrument that Jehovah God is using today, the Society of footstep followers of Christ Jesus, which likewise appoints servants in the Christian congregation in keeping with Jesus’ promise that he would set his faithful and discreet slave over all his belongings.—Matt. 24:45, NW. WT 11/15/1952
