The new writing department of the WTBTS

There is a new writing department in WT land.

    US.

Think about it, the Watchtower/jehovah's witnesses are a reactive 'religion', not a proactive one.

That means of course that they react and modify doctrine, rules and direction in response to what ever may be effecting them. Probably the last time they were proactive was the 40s and 50s but these days its all about preservation rather than growth.

I am sure that the actual writing department have eyes and ears out in 'aposta land'. After all, who discuss and disect the books, magazines and letters more than we do? Certainly not the flock, who are mostly far to beaten down to try. The pro jw forums that come and go are nothing more than ''see you in the paradise we are drinking the koolaid'' groups to scared to even use a question mark.

That means the real meaty discussion is here and it is here that the writing dept learn of what we think and what we plan, what makes us jump for joy and more importantly, what we plan to do and what we are doing globaly.

That makes them write in reaction. Tighten the screws, bunker down, more anti apostate articles, more shunning articles. They see the effect the internet is having and i believe more so that it is a handful of websites including JWN that is having the more real effect on the membership. As the membership stray, slack off and teenagers fake it, the writing dept has to react according to the tide. And WE are that tide.

They now have the ability to take on board a dozen different scenarios to any doctrinal change as we are prolific in ripping what they do write to shreds. They must surely have a file of great new ideas borrowed from apostates for future changes. And perhaps we will see our ideas in print one day as they try to shift to arguments that may make some sort of sense.

Like, had they the sense to drop in here and post the overlapping generations as a rumour i'd bet they would have dumped that idea!

You could be right I think, that they pay attention to "da word on da street".

What else would prompt them to try the pathetic and deceitful defense of the undefendable 607BCE date, but the furore on the Net about the lack of proof ?

They know that even retaining many of the older ones will be hard in the "paying" countries who all have easy Internet access, so they react to the major criticisms.

It is ironic that a religion that styles itself the "Truth" and is supposed to get the "Spiritual Food" by some secret process direct from Heaven, has to resort to lies and half-truths in articles reacting to those who supposedly have left, and do not have the "Truth"

Hi from me too, you mendacious scribblers for the WT !

I agree that the WBT$ are defending themselves against forums such as these. They know that anyone can access the info here and no one need ever know. Hence their 'do not comment on their blogs' stance along with avoidance of the internet.

It's interesting that since I left, zealous jdub Mrs Punk, thinks the internet has put satanic ideas into my head. Why would she specify the internet? Becasue the WBT$ are always 'warning' against it.

It DOES look as if the articles they are trotting out are as a result of discussions just like these. They are in defense mode and that means someone is being used to snoop these forums for the low down and for ideas.

I believe such 'snoopers' are fully awake and cannot possibly believe the JW thang and for this they should be ashamed of themselves.

Exactly Punky, it is just possible that the old farts of the G B are totally deluded, but these writing boys are not, as evidenced by what they write and the devious methods they use.

What kind of person does that ? A Goebbels who relishes the power of disseminating lies and propaganda and experiences an orgasmic reaction when 7 million people run their lives by it.

Lying, hypocritical wankers, to be polite about the writing guys.

sad, but in manyc ases this works.

Imagine a Pub is out in service, meets someone who is "briefed" ny a froum like this, and asks questions about 607/587 issue.

The pub, probably never heard, that basically almost all historians refer to 587 BCE, is puzzled, maybe does some research (only on the CD-rom of course) and either tries to change the subject, brings an experienced brother (elder) or even shrinks back from making a retun visit.

Suddenly those articles appear, the pub quickly reads them (at best) and thinks, how wonderful timely spiritual food the FDS provided again. He brings it to the interested one. If he does still not believe it, well how can this be, the FDS said it so crystall clear, he must be of wicked heart, and will see the truth at big A. The faith of the pub is strengthened, his conscience clean, because he tried everything.

The majority of pubs will glance over the artiucles, shrug off and think, ok whatever...

Only thoes of the conscious class now they real truth, but they are lost anyway in the eyes of the writing dep...

Well, if so, it might be interesting to see what new lies they come up with to explain away their near admission that the Faithful and Discreet Slave isn't real, OTOH, they might have been preparing for this moment with their new "Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Governing Body" approach.

There do seem to be a lot of articles recently, defending beliefs that loyal & obedient JWs don't think twice about:

    -- Generation overlap

    -- 607 vs. 587 BCE

-- Besides the GB, who are the rest of the "faithful & discreet slave"

-- Door to door preaching in the 1st century

-- Justification for shunning family members

If most JWs aren't asking about this stuff, why defend it?

It is comical in a way. If I were still active, I would believe Satan had complete control here. Posters such as myself would be brazen demonic witches. The reality is that the Internet merely reflects what happens in the real world. Ideas are ideas. Facts are facts. The Internet is merely an effective, quick tool of communication. The Internet reminds me of college town stores that always have bulletin boards chock full of interesting information that people post on the board. The Internet is not edited or filtered. Geographic location is not that important.

The things we discuss here, doctrine or administrative gripes, exist outside of the Internet. All the Internet does is connect people in a very large community. A community that the Society cannot control. I would Satan would want a monolithic message here. We disagree and even argue freely. The Internet is freedom. God's Truth/Word should be so potent that chatter should not disrupt it.

I had no idea there would be JW dissidents. There were dissidents throughout Witness history. Their problem was that they could not reach the masses. I accidentally found this forum when I wasted some time reading the discussion part of the JW wikipedia article. When I first saw this forum, how large it was, the titles of the threads, I actually started to cry. I was not the only one and isolated. My family always treated me as the weird one. The outrageous bitch who could not conform. My gut told me I was right but family relationships are nice. This site alone lifted tons of my mind.
