I saw my mom yesterday. My brother was evicted from his apartment yesterday and we had to move his stuff. My mom offered to let him store a few things there. When I got there, she handed me two magazines. One had the second part of the 607 bullcrap. The other one... was the sex magazine. She said "Here's the second part of the Babylon magazine. Also, I think you need to read this one" and she handed me the sex magazine. "Gee, thanks mom..." Awkward!

Should have told her that particular 607 article has been throughly reviewed on the net and its full of bullshit
propagated by the well known pretentious and deviously corrupt WTS. Publishing Corporation.
Then asked her why is she pushing these vile lies by a notorious corrupt religious publishing house on to yourself

Hmmmm, sorry for not having kept track of your personal situation, but is your brother still a Jehovah's Witness - or ever was one????
If so, I would have been tempted to say something to the effect of, "Well, Mom, take a look at [insert brother's name here] - reading those magazines hasn't helped HIM to deal with REAL life, at all, have they?"
If not, then I'd still use some variation of that - like, "Well, Mom, reading those magazines just limited my thinking abilities and reduced my abilities to earn a decent living" or something like that....
Her behavior was just so totally BRAINwashed - yuuuuuuuuk!!

She didn't say it in a joking manner. She thinks I'm into drugs and sex parties apparently. When you leave the JW's, you jump the ship I guess.

MRFREEZE- You could always throw your mom off guard and return the awkwardness by saying, " Gee Mom , didn't you explain sex to me years ago when I was younger ? " Then tell her thanks anyway and that you know about the birds and the bees and hand the magazine back to her and watch her facial expression. I bet it would be priceless
