....is correct. If the person claims that this is an apostate lie ...... they are his church's magazines ...... put it on him to produce hard copy to prove you are a liar and make a fool of you.

Whatever I need. Google is the Watchtower's worst nightmare.
e.g. Try: awake! 1956 pdf

Re that comment in the WT that the work would complete in the twentieth century.
I do not have the original article, but I remember it well. We had Group Study nights then, of course. After one study old sister says how encouraging that comment was , this must have been in the year later. We (to our embarrassment) had missed it and the smart lad got out his bound volume. This said something different. Old Sister was indignant and insisted that her mag said "twentieth century" We all thought she had imagined it !...Smart Lad gets his car and drives her home to bring it back to us.
When they came we had to admit that , yes..the original mag was different to the bound volume. There was no comment or footnote in the volume either. The Smart Lad was miffed and wrote to ask why they changed it. His reply just said that they realised the original had said something that they had not intended to be a prediction......
Dishonest, if you ask me!
