It is getting exciting here: 1" hail, pouring rain, 60 mph wind, big lightning, and tornadoes expected. Oh, and the temperature went up over 20 degrees in less than an hour. Plenty of sirens too.

By the way, I've seen the temperature vary by anything from 40 degrees to 60 degrees - within a few hours - in an area ranging from South Dakota to Colorado, throughout my lifetime....
And the wind - we've had 75 mph gusts here, the last few days - and Boulder, Colorado REGULARLY gets 100-mph gusts as "chinook"winds come roaring down the mountain canyons into Boulder...
And of course, yesterday was the day I decided to rake up the last batch of leaves from my yard...

Temps dropped 60 degrees in about 30 seconds 4 years ago..
The wind flatened scores of huge trees here..
