not that i don't enjoy listening to amateurs wargame, but china has stealthed nuclear subs in their arsenal. they have even exposed them off the flank of US aircraft carriers in taunting fashion.
USA/Australian alliance could not defeat China in World War 3...agree?

Why fight ?..each country buys each others crap and bribes polititians. Happy Corporations, Happy Polititians. If War did occur...hundreds of thousands of Sleeper Chinese agents would be activated around the world..and bad Kung Pau Chicken take-out delivered to Langly, the Pentagon, and every US & Nato base around the world. After 3 days on the POT with food poisoning, there would be free Chinese lessons for everyone and a yen for dollars exchange......

I talk to a couple of submariners on another board. There are a couple of reasons those subs are surfacing close to our fleet.
1) in response to complaints from various animal organizations, the navy routinely operates its sonars at reduced power and in fewer numbers. In a real war they will be pounding the ocean with sound and pick intruders up at greater distance.
2) the other side of the coin is that the chinese sonar is less sophisticated than ours (however they are catching up). As a result they aren't detecting our fleets until we're almost on top of them, at which point they surface to avoid classification as hostile.

As an Australian who lives under a rock (ie; no TV)
why does china even care whether the US and Aust play together?
Like, have they been planning to invade us and now their plans are messed up?
In any event, China already owns us all...we have destroyed our own manufacturing and self sustainablility in exchange for their shoddy cheap crap and all they have to do to strangle us is stop trading with us!
