It's not okay. The Evil Society has it in their wicked grasp. Everytime it opens a WT it releases mind control rays and the only antedote is knowledge, but Manky has become too weak to take it in. I guess we should just keep posting extra amounts of knowledge and hope that a few drops get through---and with each drop it will become stronger and be able to take in more.
Hey Mank, did you read on the other thread where a sister tried to warn another sister that they had a pedophile in their midst and she shouldn't allow the predator to hold her sweet child? Yeah, the elders threatened to disfellowship her for causing divisions and then convinced the woman that she should continue to allow the sex abuser to hold her little one.
See it's important not to cause divisions, and if keeping the peace means handing your children over to pedophiles, then so be it. It's a small price to pay for the big J.
Just like 17 years of beatings is a small price to pay if it brings a violent husband into the cult.
How about this. Remember how encouraging it was to hear our Malawi brothers were being killed, beaten, and raped because they would not buy a 25 cent political card? Weren't our brothers strong and true to Jehovah? Our Mexican brothers---not so much. The society allowed them to bribe officials to say they had served their mandatory military time so they didn't go to jail.
Isn't the WatchTower GREAT?

Back to topic #2... I live in Amishland and I once saw some JWs preaching to some Amish in their front yard across the road. It was TOO WEIRD! When they left I'm sure the Amish just shook their heads and said, "Ah, poor "worldies".
And on topic #1 considering the earth is going to be COMPLETELY DESTROYED means the WTS can't even get it's prime recruiting tool (Paradise Earth) to agree with the Bible. 2 Peter 3:12 (NWT) awaiting and keeping close in mind the presence of the day of Jehovah, through which [the] heavens being on fire will be dissolved and [the] elements being intensely hot will melt! 13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
Not sure how you're going to grow a garden in melted elements. And just 3 sentences later...
...the untaught and unsteady are twisting, as [they do] also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 Y OU , therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on YOUR guard that YOU may not be led away with them by the error of the law-defying people and fall from YOUR own steadfastness.
And on topic #3, Green Lantern.

To topic #2--I was one of those JW's at an Amish door. This woman opened up, and all these tiny little red heads with great big eyes started popping under her arm like she was some kind of mother hen. It was cute and she accepted the WT. But then, lol, she clarified and asked, "I can do anything I want with this right?" Well we said right---but it left an uneasy feeling and we wondered what the toilet paper situation was like!
LOL---at least they put it to good use.
And PS, we usually skipped the Amish farms and worked them as special territory, but we weren't paying attention and didn't check for power lines leading to the house. If we didn't see them, we usually concluded they were Amish and should be worked separately.

Well....we wouldn't want the pedophile to be "stumbled"tm now, would we?
Only 17 years? bah! How many years did Jeremiah put up with the shit he went through? I forgot but anything less should be considered a blessing!
Jeremiah=the benchmark for putting up with shit.
And everyone needs an African sob story once in a while. Helps sell more watchtowers!

The original Green Lantern had a cape! I have a drawing somewhere by the guy who created him.
Kinda funny....unlike the Hal Jordan GL that had a weekness of all things yellow, Alan Scott's rings weekness was wood. The amish would beat his ass down something fierce with all that wood all around.

1 John 2:16 says the desire of the flesh originates with the world.
Isn't your prime objective which is to live forever in paradise earth a desire of the flesh? Also the desire of the eyes means "mind's eye" so it can also apply to spiritual things not in line with the will of God. And then this one, making empty boasts about having "cures" to rid people of all their ills (NWT translates it showy display of one's means of life) sounds just like The Society, but Bible says it originates wwith the world. http://concordances.org/greek/212.htm
And "world passing away" means world=sin, sin= death. It doesn't mean anything else but what we know about life on earth. We die. But Christ, not Watchtower can make us alive. And the works we do for the Kingdom will last for ever.
If the Society does not repent, all their works so far are for the throwing into the sea with a grinding wheel for sinking. In that day no words will save them. Repent Watchtower! Tell them that Mr Mankelli. Tell The Watchtower to repent.

Band on the Run
YOur avatar is so at odds with whatever your intention is. Wow -- an entire chapter of the Bible. What a tasty treat. I remember may two or three lines at the most in very different genres and historical periods. Slap, dash, distortion ---all within only a few lines. Reading the Bible is arduous work. Only two lines at a time. Never from the same book.

"So the Amish are superheroes."
Ooo that's interesting. They could very well be strange visitors from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities far beyond that of mortal man and who, disguised as mild-mannered farmers, working from dawn to dusk, are trying to turn us all into framers so they can take us back to their home planet!
And NewChapter, WTs as toilet paper? We finally found a good use for them!
