Why is the TRUTH not true enough?

  Here is a premise: The anointed are a faithful and discreet slave class who channel Jehovah's Truth.

  Here is a conclusion based on the above premise: The governing body print and publish the Truth because Jehovah directs them to do so.

  Considering the above premise and conclusion I now ask the following question:

  If what the Governing Body has published is the TRUTH directly from Jehovah---why does the Watchtower Society allow it to go out of print?

  Why does any of it become Old light not taught any longer?

  When does Truth become NOT true? True is True.

  Either the teachings of Jehovah's Witness' Governing Body are TRUE or they are not. Which is it?

  The test for something being TRUE is that it matches reality without contradicting it.

  If older publications are allowed to go out of print because they are NO LONGER TRUE how could they EVER HAVE BEEN true?

  Pretending TRUTH expires, gets stale and needs to be replaced as though it were actual FOOD at the "proper time" is a dishonest dodge.

  Compare DIRECT INFORMATION FROM JEHOVAH to mere human conjecture and discover this:

  1.Human conjecture, guesswork and imagination lead to mistakes that need correcting. Gradually, mere human effort produces improvements.

  2.Direct Truth from Almighty God would not be subject to mistakes that need correcting.

  Conclusion: Since Jehovah's Witnesses have taught things that were NOT true as though it were TRUTH they are liars.

  Since Jehovah's Witnesses attribute their teachings directly to Jehovah and those things have been mistakes: they are blasphemers.

  Why is the TRUTH not true enough?

  Because Jehovah's Witnesses have distorted and corrupted the very meaning of TRUTH by changing it into a misrepresented error attributable to God.

  The Watchtower lies

  They lie in the Name of God

  The command of Moses states "you must NOT take the name of God in a worthless way"

  Lies are worthless

  As they say they are making God's Name holy, they really show either that 1. God doesn't care OR 2. God doesn't exist.

  Terry buddy, I think you're over-thinking this!

  You shouldn't expect to get a true conclusion from a false premise.

  I always think about what it says in the reasoning book. That the generation that saw 1914 wouldnt die. Even though we have new light on the situation. I dont feel it gets any simpler to prove they are liars from that standpoint

  Absoluetly. When I met with an elder to announce my decision that I was DAing, this was the very subject we touched upon.

  I asked, "Isn't the truth unchanging? You can't make red, blue from one day to the next."

  His depressing response was, "God will always have an organisation." He didn't try to refute the dates, or the changes, or even try to excuse it.

  In fact, HE ADMITTED THEY WERE WRONG. BUT REGARDLESS, THIS WAS STILL GOD'S ORGANISATION.

  Truth doesn't matter. What matters is the "advancement" of said organisation. The continual and progressive refinement, a never-ending one at that. It reminds me of 1984, the statistics were always "getting better".

  Correct this was pretty much the same reason I left, I didn't find " The Truth " there or I found it had been maligningly adulterated

  for and on expressed agenda to proliferate literature and the procuring empowerment of men who were really quite intellectually dishonest.

  Why select from among others if the one selected is as corrupt as the others?

  If The Bible Students who read Russell and embraced the Great Pyramid, Dispensation Chart and 1914 were selected by Jehovah WHILE embracing ERROR,

  what possible distinction can be drawn from Truth/Error?

  The Watchtower prints things and the members have to preach and believe them UNTIL they are proved wrong or changed. Then, without complaint they do the same thing with the changed teachings until THOSE are disproved or changed.

  The distinction between Truth and False is irrelevent when you simply OBEY without using your mind!

  God has an organization is a feckless statement if that organization is teaching FALSE THINGS.

  Judaism was "True" but the Jews were false to it and were constantly punished and delivered to their enemies. What distinguishes the Jews from any false religious group? Nothing. A person with diabetes that refuses to take their insulin injection DIFFERS IN NO WAY from a person who never heard of insulin.

  Distinctions with difference are ridiculous.

  Too true Terry. The characterization the Witnesses portray is hardly different than what the majority of citizens in the 1940s portrayed, blind allegiance with it's cooperation. I actually told a brother (elder) and his (pioneer) wife how the Witnesses and the supporters of Nazi Germany had too much in common for my taste. I had to apologize (even though it's true) and she forgave me (because I didn't say "but it's true).
