WTWizard, you have some strange beliefs...
They all look alike now.

"God actually loves us is rubbish"
God IS love.
The Bible does not advertise "God loves us".
The Bible guides us to "know Yahweh".
The only thing I can think of that the Society did which is really beneficial and it is they told forth that there is Someone You should know.

I am curious Jeff as to what compells you to post these views?
No one is happier than I that you managed to escape the JW's and I admire you for what you have done.
But your posts do tend to come off as "atheistic intellectual superiority" and you seem to have been able to pile all believers into a nice little category that you have no problem ridiculing ( a JW trait that you have not been able to "shake loose" perhaps?).

Spot on Jeff!
I agree with your comments which is hard for me to admit after 4 decades of 100% belief in the Bible and the org. The exception- I still beleive in a creator but from the view point of a Deist which has alowed me to unite my faith with the gift of God given reason.
IMHO every xJdub should read Thomas Pane's book AGE of Reason (1775), Pane was one of the founding fathers of America, a Deist who dispised the Bible and revealed religion but believed in a creator. Don't let the date it was written stop you it is an eye opener!
After waking up (with a lot of help from JWN) and realizing I wasted 40 years of my life in WT world, Deism has prevented me from setting my hair on fire and running down the street naked!
May we all Find Peace,

Agree with you Jeff. The same mindset I once saw in the JWs I see among other groups - only possibly not so blatantly intense. The resort to so-called reasoning then, when that fails saying, "It's changed my life...so I believe" . One groups claims are as good as the next groups. Then there are those who say, Just read the Bible and you'll find the truth. The Bible's unrelenting savagery, violence and genocide reflected human societies of millenia ago. It's putrid baby food should be tossed out double quick.

WTWizard, you have some strange beliefs...
I think that I agree with WTW virtually every single time he posts.

It is good to know that there is no god, no sin, no hell, no heaven.
It's good to know someone who has knowledge of all things seen and unseen.
Of all knowledge past, present and future.

It's good to know someone who has knowledge of all things seen and unseen.
Of all knowledge past, present and future.
Just stating my viewpoint, Warlock. Is that still allowed here? What I state is true - to me, if not to you.
Everything that IS started 13.7 Billion years ago, from a moment of hot dense energy. Every molecule, every star, every drop of water, originated due to the Big Bang, not due to god. There is MASSIVE evidence to support this theory. So, to someone who accepts reality, based on solid science - sin, heaven, hell, god, devil are all just mankind's constructs to explain what science is now explaining in our modern era. Facts are better than superstition - that's all I am saying. Some posters are always looking to defend what they believe - without the very first shred of evidence - [if you dispute what I say, then show me some evidence, sir] and still they find those of us who state that obvious fact as 'arrogant'.
I have thrown off the robe of 'belief/faith' because there is precisely zero reason to continue believing things without evidence. That has nothing to do with Sab's contentions either. If he finds himself upset by my words, then it might be time for him to buck up and take an honest look at the ideas passed to him from shepherds of 3000 years ago. Personally, I find it far more comforting to accept reality, knowing we are mortal, there is nothing beyond this life, than to hold onto dreamlike visions of god without evidence. If that makes someone uncomfortable - well, ok.

Jeff,
You cannot say FOR A CERTAINTY that those things do not exist.
That is arrogance.

Okay, that comment could be taken literally, or as satire...
If literal, then I would state that a feeling of reflected invincibility due to one's invisible friend, is no guarantee of invincibility....
On the other hand, as satire, that comment stands alone as a shining beacon of impeccable humor!!
