STT:if you ever check this thread again- Im sorry you were outted. Your story brought back memories. My dad uses the belt too. Every family Watchtower study we had the study article, the bible, and the belt waiting for us. The study would go on for at least 2 hours. If we did not answer good enough out came the belt. I wish I had your strengh. I keep trying to be good enough. Inever made a conscious decision like you did. I just drifted out. I kept trying to stay but some how I never could.
Reading your story has made me realize how much control my own father had over me. The emotional and physical abuse can keep a person chained. I am glad you broke free.
I hope you find happiness. You deserve it.
