I was in a congregation that donated fairly well, mortgage was paid, maybe a couple thousand extra in the bank.

A few years ago, when the letter came through "encouraging" the congregation with extra funds beyond a few months expenses to deposit their extra funds with the society, the local congregation obeyed. I wonder how much money WT grabbed from the congregations on that scam?

No one has mentioned the interest they charge their own brothers..... Or the demands to use society contracted dealers for such things as sound equipment at oddly extortionate prices.....
