I would take it seriously, but not become paranoid. It's probably just some JW wacko trying to scare you. Nevertheless, its illegal to make such terroristic threats. It doesn't hurt to be on guard, but don't give these morons the satisfaction of ruining your life.

Call the local police and then the FBI must be some kind of law about threatening people on the internet. Let them find em, if its a wacko being funny, he/she will suddenly become unfunny when the authorities drive up and have a conversation with them.

One the other hand, I understand that there are shareholders of the Watchtower Corporation who are not JWs and are interested... truly interested... only in the money. You and the growing movement you represent are a genuine threat to their source of revenue.
I could be wrong, but it's better to be safe than sorry. For your kids, if not for yourself.

At the same time, you have to protect yourself and those you care about. If I were you Bill, I'd report every crank call and nuisance email you get! if nothing else it'll help your local authorities build a 'profile'.

I'd report it, though it probably isn't anything. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but reporting it sure couldn't hurt....take care of yourself.
