the number of those who are truly anointed has been getting smaller
truly is the key here, I am sure they still believe this to be true, the increasing numbers just show the apostasy within God's organization.

I wonder whether jwfacts could update his statistics page? It would be interesting to see the trend.
Positive numbers for France, Britain, Canada, Australia, Italy, Spain and 3% in the USA and 4% in Mexico. They are bound to be pleased with that.
Japan and many other countries still treading water, but no major country showing real decline, as was the case a few years ago. No sign that JWs are set for a steady decline going by those figures.
Any increase in France always shocks me. Aren't they supposed to be godless bastards?
The USA # is almost certainly due to foreign speaking immigrants. Perhaps the same in France and some of the others?
And no actual corporation would ever see a decrease in "sales" (baptized) as an increase other than the WT.
those who are truly anointed
All JWs/Christians should be appalled by such a statement. Who are they to say who is or is not anointed?
The USA # is almost certainly due to foreign speaking immigrants.
I never fails to amuse me when people say that on this forum, as if foreigners shouldn't count or something.
SLIMBOYFAT - oh, they certainly do count! "Send us you poor, huddled masses and we'll indoctrinate them with smiling, friendly folks who speak their tongue and literature in their native language. . . "
They are the WTs target audience.
SBF I think that many believe that "foreigners/immigrants" are easy pickin's for the JWs. They are in a strange place, friendless, have a language barrier, likely poor and therefore easily duped by JWs and their pie in the sky message.
Also, Hawaii has been combined finally with the U.S. So, with that, the U.S. increase was actually 1.9%, not 3%. Baptisms in U.S. would be at a 7.2% decrease.
11,824 partakers? Something is def, going wrong here, I remember the annual fall in partakers being used as a sign the end was approaching in the 1980s - I don't recall reading it in any of the washtowel littertray, perhaps someone more knowledgeable does?
