i knew that phrase from wayne qu sounded familiar. he says the bible provided him and his wife with logical satisfying answers to lifes important questions. i found other uses of that terminology. im using my phone so please forgive the formatting..

in the 2004 watchtower for february 1 in the article why care about spiritual things

    vincent a lawyer is qouted

it was only after studying the bible with jehovahs witnesses that i received satisfying answers to my questions about lifes purpose.

the 2005 book what does the bible really teach

the chapter .is this what god purposed.

the bible provides satisfying answers to these questions.

again in what does the bible really teach

chapter 1 what is the truth about god

paragraph 4. very likely you are interested in getting answers to lifes big questions...it is good to ask such questions and it is important that you do not give up until you find satisfying reliable answers.

please forgive the quality as i hope the content will suffice for quality reporting for now. but i knew they just recycled the same sentences over and over. i am very doubtful there was ever an interview with wayne qu. and if there was they probably threw out his interview in place of their own version and convinced him it would be an honor in jehovahs eyes and the organization if he plays ball and doesnt say anything to anyone. wouldnt be the first time.

Anyway, with all the $$$$$ that the rank and file provide to them as a sacrifice............ they can hire any university trained specialist for their needs.

They don't need you to be educated, just to swallow the kool-aid and keep onm contributing your time, mind, and $$$$$

    Nice scam!

WIZARD: If your dire but possible predictions for the earth are true, I would just as soon see the whole damn planet explode! I have seen and read about conspiracy theories to believe anything is possible! But I digress from the original post---the religion practices total hypocrisy in its "no college" stand. They have no business to expect to benefit from anybody's secular know-how if they disapprove of the very thing that made it possible! The religion doesn't care if the average JW starved, just as long as they stay uneducated and gullible. Quite simply: education that does not directly benefit the religion is frowned on. Oh! And that poverty they are pushing? It is not for THEM, just some other sucker.

I could not agree more. I was heavily criticized for continuing my education after high school. The elders tried to convince me and my mom that a certificate from a community college would do. Fortunately, my dad is not a JW and believes in the advancement of colored people. He had choice words for the elders.

After graduating, I received a letter inviting me to Bethel. I was also invited to join the IBC. I declined both and the then CO contacted me regarding doing more ( I was already pioneering). I almost gave in. I never applied but was invited simply because of the very education they condemned me for obtaining.

    Shop.

SHOPAHOLIC: Good for you! I am glad you got your education and did not listen to bad advice. But yet they had the AUDACITY to imagine they would exploit you. This is a very damaging religion (to some more than others). I was appalled at the amount of functional literates I saw - people who barely had "life" skills and were lucky they knew how to manage a checking account to pay their bills. I am especially horrified at the situation older single women are in. This religion makes me sick and I am so glad it's in the past. Good riddance.

Another fruit that the WTBTS eats from while at the same time discouraging the R & F from spending their time and resources on is technology and its' gadgets.

Our CO told us that each of the GB members and each of their assistants have their own personal IPAD loaded with the latest Apps and other software. What hypocrites!

A pioneer sister (an elder's wife) commented in the Watchtower study a while back that she heard a stat at the assembly that only 2% of young Witnesses taking up secular studies remain Witnesses. I wonder how many young Witnesses remain Witnesses [fullstop]? Is it not true that JWs have the highest turnover rate of all the religions? Does anybody have additional information on the subject? I would like to take up the point with her.
