It is interesting how different points can be gleaned from a statement made in our english language. Some will read that as "active support" meaning helping them get the preaching work done. I feel that some might read it that way because of past study articles, etc. But the way I read that now that I am able to look at their writing, from the outside looking in, so to speak is this. "Active support" as in supporting every word we (gb - not annointed in general) say. If one disagrees or even has a problem with the rules and regulations that they are desseminating, can they be said to be in "active support". Just my way of reading it I realize, but if you read the whole article methinks others might read it that way also.

The "anointed" vs "governing body" doctrine is morphing even as this article is being studied.
One could read "anointed brothers" as anyone in the remnant of the 144,000 at this time. In fact, this is the way it would have been understood for decades.
But as has been shown by the newer publications, the lines between the remnant and the leadership are no longer blurry. There is a distinct line forming. At some point, the remnant annointed will just be another class of publishers and the true anointed ruling class will be just the Governing Body.
At such a time when they finally clarify the positions (not overnight. It takes time to reprogram the sheeple) and the doctrine change is complete, this statement will mean, "by actively supporting the Governing Body and following their direction"

The other sheep should never forget that their salvation depends on
their active support of Christ's anointed "brothers"
still on earth. (Matt. 25:34-40)It is truly outrageous that any human would twist the scriptures around like this to demand obedience from other Christians.
I don't have the magazine at hand to read the context, but looking at just this short quotation, I expect they mean:
attend meetings and conventions,
report service time,
donate money,
plus about a thousand other non-Biblical things that they have built up into a 'religion'

+++ What Undercover said. The 2nd saddest part of this is that the JWs themselves cannot even see it coming, and would not care if they did.
The saddest part is that it brands them absolutely as an anti-Christian religion in the strict sense of the word. The GB is substituting themselves for the traditional Christ.

thanks Revealer for the link. I didn't know that the WT study edition was available for download as a PDF.
Having read the article, it strikes me as really curious. Being timed just before the Memorial, I would have expected the usual 'don't partake unless you're really sure', but I don't see it. Instead they don't seem to discourage it at all, do not mention anything about the number 144,000, and the drawing of anointed ones looks like people of middle age... certainly not the 85+ group usually pictured. Also not a single Asian or Hispanic pictured... hmm.
Really a curious article, I wonder where they are going with it.
