Anti Semitic...Political meddling...phony neutrality REVEALED in Public Records
Insight into the official position of the Watchtower leadership is generally unavailable to the general public unless it is found in their latter day publications. A tendency to change that history to hide things could only be proved if the record was historically preserved by an unimpeachable source.
However, a PUBLIC RECORD exists of J.F.Rutherford's political lobbying for the passage of a LAW for his own benefit: H.R. 7986.
March 15-20 in 1934 hearings were held.
Congressman Louis T. McFadden** of Pennsylvania, led the charge supporting Rutherford's points of view.

The question of an international conspiracy called "BIG BUSINESS" arises. J.F.Rutherford embraced the idea that an international cabal of Jewish bankers was manipulating world leaders. Business, Religion and surrogate political leadership were engaged in oppressing righteous people through Satan's control.
"It has been the commercial Jews of the British-American empire that have built up and carried on Big Business as a means of exploiting and oppressing the peoples of many nations....This fact is so manifest in America that there is a proverb concerning the city of New York....'the Jews own it, the Irish Catholics rule it, and the Americans pay the bills.'" 1934 Yearbook Of Jehovah's Witnesses, 'Declaration of Facts', (The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, 1933) p. 135-36
The 1934 Yearbook of Jehovah's Witnesses reveals a shocking plea made to Hitler's regime by the Watchtower President in a personal letter.
"The present government of Germany has declared emphatically against Big Business oppressors and in opposition to the wrongful religious influence in the political affairs of the nation. Such is exactly our position:...Instead of being against the principles advocated by the government of Germany, we stand squarely for such principles and point out that Jehovah God through Christ Jesus will bring about the full realization of these principles..."
So, in the same year, Judge Rutherford was reaching out to Hitler and fomenting discord in America over the radio.
Rutherford's position was that any existing Law that prevented him from broadcasting an expose' of this collusion would destroy his "freedom" of speech. By pressuring Congress to amend the law Rutherford was indulging in "politics" himself as well as Anti-Semetic propaganda.
What is astonishing about this "political meddling"? It was forbidden by Jehovah's Witnesses inasmuch as it would be just like dealing with Satan himself. A false doctrine of "neutrality" was preached.
Hypocritcally, Rutherford used this "freedom of speech" to accuse competing churches, (such as the Church of Christ) of conspiracy to suppress his hate speech about them.
Any churches urging for a League of Nations for world peace were branded by Rutherford as Satanic conspirators. At the time, this was called "Internationalism".
"You see this manifested by Government officials, bank officials, and
employees, by business men and farmers, by professional politicians,
clergymen, and the common people. Why is there such great fear
and perplexity amongst the rulers and distress amongst the people
everywhere?
"Big business " and their mouthpieces, namely, the commercialized
clergy referred to are reprehensible before God for hindering the
truth concerning the present conditions in America and the means
which might provide a remedy for the people, by God's help. There
should be some action taken to further stop such intolerance in the
use of the radio (and that during this session of Congress) to prevent
the further entrenchment of such powers. That is the reason why I
have introduced this bill and am asking for consideration of it at this
time. I believe it will open the way for a fair deal in the proper use
of the radio in broadcasting."
As the transcript often demonstrates, whenever specifics are questioned in regard to, say, "conspiracy" no facts are ever put forth. Only vague implications are left to cloud the issue.
Example:
Mr. SIROVICH. The gentleman spoke of an international conspiracy
that was designed to control the telegraph and telephone and radio.
Would you be specific for the record and name the individuals, groups,
or corporations that you think are responsible for trying to bring
about this international conspiracy?
Mr. MCFADDEN. Well I did not use the word "conspiracy." I
pointed'it out as an interesting incident that the British now have a
representative in Canada, or have had during the' past two weeks,
dealing with 'that subject.
In the personal letter to Hitler, Rutherford had falsely claimed the U.S. government persecuted him and the Directors for refusing to publish anti-German propaganda during WWI. This was a lie. Rutherford was imprisoned for seditious writing against patriotism and military particpation by those already enlisted in the Armed Forces!
"[Jehovah's Witnesses] have never meddled in or even taken part in the politics of any nation with which there is mudslinging and the stirring up of so many hostilities and divisive hatreds." J.F. Rutherford, Enemies, (The Watchtower Bible & Tract Society, 1937) p. 222
As the above record indicates, official Watchtower statements about Neutrality in Politics is historically untenable. Revisionism is evidence of culpability. Jehovah's Witnesses can't have it both ways and have it right. Members are strongly discouraged from investigations suggested by those "outside" the organization. Self-serving statements are used to whitewash the facts.
In modern times, there have been refinements
in our understanding of certain
Bible teachings. This should not trouble us;
it should bolster our confidence in the faithful
and discreet slave class. When representative
members of the “slave” discern
that our viewpoint on some point of truth
needs to be clarified or corrected, they do
not hold back from making the adjustment.
The slave class is more interested
in cooperating with God’s unfolding purpose
than in shielding itself from criticism
over an adjusted understanding. How do
you react when an adjustment in our understanding
of the Scriptures is presented?

Rutherford also went into much detail about the Rothschilds and other Jewish bankers in his Vindication books.
