I remember a fella over 30 years ago who had suicidal tendencies. He started to study with JW's and managed to think positively to avoid those suicidal thoughts. The last I heard about him was that he went back down that path. The cong saw the signs, but just ignored him. Sadly, he took his life about 15 yrs ago. He really had some mental issues, and you needed to be patient with him. The WTS gave him 15 years of optimism, but, it wore off. Well, the WTS will propably say that this man will have a resurrection.
Does anyone know if there will be a funeral talk at the KH for this fella?

Most public housing anywhere is called "the projects" (i.e., it is a housing project... called so after it being a "housing development project"), dear Miz Shirl (peace to you, love!). It's industry lingo, so forgive me, please, if I "spoke" wrongly.
Again, peace to you!

That is so sad. Unless he left a note, we'll never know what was going through his head.
So much for "Jehovah's happy people".

A while ago an elders wife such a beautiful woman hung herself and the poor brother walked right past her in the hallway where she did it. She said to him over and over that there are some things people say that you just cna't get over but no one found out what it was.
such a beautiful caring fun filled woman.
i have this deep seated feeling as has been mentioned that the constant do more say less give more get less mentality that has taken over the society has many people thinking there is no popint with doing anything as they will never be good enough.
the one thing that shocked me was the elder who told his wife that she is not to attend the funeral as she "killed herself and wont be resurrected" the anger I felt about that needs not be mentioned.
Just so sad.

Do more: yes. You're never good enough: yes. My two cents? Fear is emotionally painful. Fear is physcially painful. It can feel like black depression. I've been in therapy for four years for anxiety and fear. Now that I am successfully reducing anxiety and fear to a more normal level, I rarely feel "depressed." Fear makes life unbearable when it is unchecked and with a person everyday. Fear kills.

Just so sad. I feel for the family trying to make sense of all this.
