JWFACTS you are truly a treasure :)

My stomach turns at the qoute

" Avoiding being discouraged at how long the end has delayed "

How can they not be discouraged ???? The ones " ALIVE " at the

beginning of the fullilment in 1914 were promised something only

to be told different in 2010

"Before the last members of the generation that was alive in 1914 will have passed off the scene, all the things foretold will occur including the great tribulation in which the present wicked world will end"_____Reasoning book page 97

imagine the hurt our children would feel if we kept promising

them things, and then we didn't come through

It would show exactly how dense we are if we told them

Not to be discouraged because we keep changin' our minds

    on the things we promised

Jehovah's Witnesses need to wake up and realize Jehovah did not promise that

qoute in the reasoning book, the WTS did

    Good Morning Paul;

As usual, your research & insight are right on the money. Here we have a saying " If you can't dazzle them with your brillance, baffle them with your bullsh**t." It's just's so sad to realize how many never question the bullsh**t. Have a great 2012.

"From 1879 onward, through thick and thin, they had been publishing Biblical truths about God’s Kingdom in the pages of The Watchtower." July 15

---BWAHAHA! One just needs to glance at a page of The Finished Mystery from 1917 to see falsehood of that statement. I guess what they are reffering to are the so-called"truths" like no hell-fire, trinity, etc. Those "major dotrines" are the ONLY ones they could possibly be refering to.

----> Thanx for the post. I enjoyed reading that.

LOL at this: "So Jehovah's solution to controlling the murder rate of 1:142 is by the far greater act of violence of murdering virtually everyone, 999:1000."

I seriously laughed out loud for a minute straight, that is a classic and hilarious observation. i am crying i am laughing so hard. how can people read watchtower publications and eat this stuff? its so insane. guess thats a easily answered question, mind control. mind control will make you accept anything. wow.

jwfacts - I've just noticed your thread. Great topic. Repetitive daily scriptures which are cited primarily to prop up this tired, listless and uninspiring religious organization. My respect for the organization would grow if they were courageous enough to feature some of the more controversial scriptures (e.g., those that celebrate genocide, willingness to kill one's son in obedience to Jehovah, managing slaves and who can forget the numberless verses that depict the heavenly hordes encircling the throne of God singing Holy, Holy, Holy? Now doing that each and every day would remove all need for longer term goals).

BTW, I hadn't realized they no longer have the daily text read out before field service. I can imagine this would have been a difficult practice for older JWs to relinquish but younger ones would have loved its dropping.

Great work, fantastic observations, but...366 quotes this year, no? What was February 29th, a quote from one of the vice lists in Galations or 2 Timothy? Because we all know intercalation is at it's heart demonic and simply a way of worshipping the sun.

    Paul,

Hope you don't mind that I posted your testimony on Delphi Forums: Adult Christian Forum.

Apparently you and your site are well known in WT circles.
