One thing we have in common . . . we all worship the "god of the gaps" . . . it's called curiosity.
Some choose to fill the gaps with knowledge . . . others use belief. Natural or supernatural . . . that's what it comes down to.
You're right . . . this is a very good series of videos with a simple critical thinking element.

My brother, a creationist believer, has a very bold question that i find diffucult to answer
DNA and RNA dissolve in water, so there could not even be water in the evolutionist's primeval soup. Sounds like a major threat to the theory.
Anyone, knows how to shed light on this? I'm struggling to reason him out from superstition. any answers you can provide is appreciated. :)

Here's an explanation . . .
DNA and RNAare both quite soluble in water. The cytosol of the cell is primarily composed of water, so if DNA and RNA weren't water soluble, they wouldn't happily stay put.
In both DNA and RNA, the phosphate groups in the sugar-phosphate backbone of the nucleic acid strands have partial negative charges at cellular pH. This means that they attract polar water molecules and can thus be dissolved in solution. RNA can be even more soluble because of the extra -OH group that is part of the ribose sugar, as well as the exposed bases that contain polar bonds. More polar groups means more places to attract water.
In the classic DNA extraction experiment, isopropyl alcohol is added to the mixture to make DNA precipitate out of solution. In just water, the DNA isn't visible. The -OH group of the alcohol is able to get in and bind to all the polar and charged portions of the DNA. Once this happens, the rest of the exposed portions of the alcohol molecules are nonpolar, so they don't mix with the water and the DNA bound by alcohol becomes visible -

dark angle, first, make it clear that evolution is not about the formation of life. He is referring to abiogenesis.
Second, there is no reason RNA or DNA had to form in water first.
Third, ask if he understands the reason WHY RNA and DNA dissolve in water (not because it is wet). If he understands that, then he can understand that water could be present along with other chemicals that could prevent the dissolution.
Fourth, tell him to find better sources than Answers in Genesis.
