Ive been watching many WWII documentaries on what seems to be a new cable station, the Military Channel. While I was watching Hitler's last days tonight, I saw a notice that a show on cults and danger would be shown this coming week. Wednesday if I am correct.

The programming is not heavy history. They pick their version and say "it is possible." The problem is they don't also say "it is not possible." Other theories are rarely discussed. There is entertainment value. The programs are not boring.

I was watching tv about a week ago and I foud myself watching a show on cults. (idr what channel it was). But it was focusing on one cult in particular where they feared the members would eventually kill themselves. One statement a commenter made that I agreed with was that "when a person, group or organization claims to be jesus, or the Messiah or to speak for Him, it is a very difficult thing to disprove".

Overall pretty interesting. I havent seen it on tv since....

Band- I think I saw the same channel, learned a lot about the history of Germany and the Nazi/SS 1939-1944.

The military channel is good entertainment as is the history channel and animal planet and Bio and other similar channels. I find I'd rather watch this any day than a rerun or most of prime time TV.

Maybe it has been around for years on your cable service but not on mine. Is that such a point to make a entire post about it? OMG, the b....h thinks the Military Channel just was incorporated as a business b/c her cable service is only carrying it now. Horrors. Even worse, I have no idea when the Military Channel first became available. I don't know the nanosecond it was now available.

I grew up with WWII propaganda films. There was new programming and the reruns were made for the war effort. The Nazis scared me. I haven't been around that influence for decades. I don't understand the fascination with Hitler. Japan sort of bores me. I was shocked how old the WWII footage seemed since I was a kid. Second, I could not stop watching -- I will not see planned TV or reading to watch about a minor figure. I am certain West Point does not teach this sort of military history but it is very entertaining. I'm watching a Military channel. Quite a coup for a born-in.
