Once you get dunked, you will always be funked?
Lol.
I've been wondering this myself. My escape from the Kindom Hall came suddenly - I hadn't really given any concious thought to anything beyond refusing to go out in service. Then all of a sudden, a bunch of stuff happened and I took the risk of being honest with my husband and here we are - out and not sure what to do with ourselves. From reading the experiences here, I realize how much worse it could have gone for me, and what may still happen in the future. I guess when I no longer worry about how to handle running into people at the grocery store, or worry about my kids social and emotional development I'll count myself as an ex-ex JW
It's just a label . . .
You could call yourself an ex-teenager, or an ex-child . . . because those periods are simply part of your life. A persons ex-partner will always be their ex. Same with ex-JW. What's important is how you personally view that label. As time goes by . . . I am more comfortable with it rather than less. Wear it with pride I say.
