I'll be in Reno for the above dates. I am actually meeting my first Bible Student/friend, (she doesn't attend and has moved on), for a few days at her work function, I think at the Golden Nugget.
If there are is anybody in the area who would like to meetup for a cuppa or drink, let me know, PM me. I know Flipper is in the area, not sure how far, but I'll contact him as well. I won't have a car, as far as I know.
Hey Dagney. I wish I could be there. I get up there a couple of times a year but won't be going again till probably March or April.
I don't think there is a Golden Nugget in Reno. I think you may mean the Nugget hotel casino in Sparks. We like to have dinner at Trader Dick's in the Nugget. Great Decor and lots of tacky drinks.

Hmmm, wonder where I'm staying. It's newly remodeled, and I thought there was a "Nugget" in the name. Now not sure.
This is her business meeting and I'm going to just be with her; I haven't a clue about her business. Wish you were in Reno at that time, but we will make up for it another time... we are much closer that I am to her. She's not really into the exJW discussion; she actually has one daughter trying to go back. *sigh* Thankfully, we are close even though I "brought her into the truth." TM

it's been years since I've been there. In some ways it looks like time stopped. I prefer the older tacky casinos
The Nugget is really a nice Casino. They have a lot of conventions there. I usually stay at the Atlantis.
Are you going to fly directly into Reno. If so how?
I haven't had a chance to confirm with her yet where we are staying, but I'm pretty sure she said Nugget. This convention is for the hotel industry, her company books events for other companies, so it would have to be upscale or very very nice.
My poor friend I think is going to get an eyefull...lol. She'll live. I know she doesn't like to casino play, and I love it. lololol.
I fly Southwest LAX, $59 each way...pretty good deal. My sis and I stayed at the Atlantis after last year's apostafest in Tahoe. We liked that hotel also...very nice rooms, casino ok, percs ok. I won better at Harrah's.
Hey wha! How are you? I like the old school casinos also...sometimes...lol...if I win. Remember at the Gold Coast, none of us won that night.
